The latest "Warriors of Destiny" cleanup thread

This is the latest in a series of threads I have made encouraging EA to clean up the legacy of the Warriors of Destiny event cycle.

Everyone here is encouraged to post their own things from that event cycle that should be cleaned up.

Some things I'll point out there will be disagreement on, I know.

1. The town cryers are still saying the Treasures of Tokuno have returned. This is just ridiculous and confuses new or returning players. It looks really bad. It makes you all look lazy and sloppy.

2. The Ricardo wanted posters. Some players, I know, like seeing these, and that's fine. But my argument against their presence is that not only is Ricardo not wanted anymore, but when he was last seen it was with Queen Dawn. Not only is he freed, sprung by Sherry the Mouse, but he effectively seems to be pardoned.

3. The stuff outside the Yew Courthouse that related to the Ricardo trial. The beasts of burden and the cage and so forth. This trial was....How long ago?

I'm sure there's lots more but I can't think of it...Someone else will post the rest, I'm sure

There is no reason why historical pieces such as these couldn't be taken down and put in a wing of Castle Britannia or something. A history museum.

I'd leave this. It adds a bit of atmosphere to the area (even if it is a static decoration); and our event moderator actual made use of it in a storyline a couple months ago.

Well the business of the heralds does confuse new players and make the devs look sloppy and lazy. At one point we were led to understand that the heralds would once again be used in a meaningful way and that the Sherry the Mouse statues would be a part of that system. The heralds were part of what made UO special back in the day.

The wanted posters have an impact in that they create the impression there's a wanted man named Ricardo running around.

They should just make things like this stealable. I would like to have a Ricardo poster in my house.

The cryers, yes, definitely need to be reset.

The posters... honestly I don't have any issue with them. After all, the monoliths from the FoA trials are still in Trinsic, (without the signs, which makes me sad) and British's magic pedistal is still on Serpent Isle. Plus the Ophidian notes are still sprinkled here and there.

I'd say leave them all be, and add some copies of the stuff to museum sections (which we haven't had any new ones I've heard of.)

Definitely clear the heralds though, or make them useful. It really is getting annoying that they are LESS useful than they were originally.
