I've found this while I was checking for the latest issue of News From Across the Realm (I follow it rather than Yew Times, it has more in depth analysis for current issues):

This is by far the best Britannia map I have ever seen and it is created by a member of UO community, Ashlynn (click on the link at look at it here to see the map):

Ashlynn has said that she intends at some point to do another version with plain script. Once thats done I plan on using that as my primary UO static map. Right now I am using her current version as wall paper. The first wall paper I have ever used.

I could read runic script almost fluently back when I was like 12 years old playing Ultima V, but anymore it's just gobbledygook.

Map is tight, just, a map w/o some sort of key falls short IMO. I've never seen a functional map without indication of north and some sort of key. Should be a relatively easy addition, regarding both--at the discretion of the artist. After all, who says this map is intended to be functional rather than simply art.

No I mean I've forgotten the runic alphabet over the last 20 years and it's unreasonable to expect me to know it.

I don't think that Ashlynn meant for you to be able to "read" the Runic names. I mean, just looking at the map and knowing where all the towns are and just enjoying seeing it written in the Runic alphabet is all she is providing here. Right?

Doesn't matter for me though I've played Ultima so long I can read the runes easily now.
