My in reasonable repair and insured Mace & Shield glasses just vanished. I got the standard blah blah blah response from the GM's, and have put in a bug report. I'm really bloomin peeved now

I had a moment like that on the hunt earlier - looted body after dying and my FC 1 11HCI/13DCI/13RPD Tear Kie shield had vanished. Not on body, not in pack... Not exactly an easy one to replace either!

I was really upset; hubby gave em to me. And when I say I emptied my pack - I put everything in my loot basket and handed it to a guildie to hold while I checked the number of items in pack, which was 0.
It's a horrible feeling, especially since my suit was built around those and a few other items, so it would have all 70's, so the suit is pretty much useless without them.

I lost an entire scouts suit, and some other stuff I can't remember, because they pale in comparison to the suit.
I think I'd actually not reinsured, after transferring it from another character, so the fault's kind of with me, and I can accept that since I should have known better. But if it says it's insured, then it should be insured.

I think the worst ever happened to me was on Great Lakes. I was moving house, taking a rune library of over 150 books with me...
I split them between 2 locked containers in the new house, ready to set out the next day. I know for sure I secured the containers and only I had access, but next day when I logged in, the containers were still there and secure, but all the books were gone. I was furious as there was years of effort in those books. Needless to say, given the "lost / stolen" policy, the GM's didn't want to know on GL. Most frustratingly though, they weren't even prepared to enter into any dialogue regarding possible causes to their loss.
I'm gradually re-marking the lost books since my move to Europa, but like anything of that scale, it'll take some time
