is what to you? I have attempted to make my thief as item independent as possible, so there would be less to loot from my dead body.
Still, eventually, I ran out of skill points. Walking everywhere is very trying and time eating. I saw many people wishing for shadow dancer pants- and I considered those. I wanted to have enough magery to gate. That issue minded its' own business to conclusion, but made another question:
what do people consider special, essential, or blessworthy (on siege)?
What do you never leave house without?

120 real stealing skill, and 100 snooping skill. Other than that...I have no issues going anywhere, with or without anything.

It's the great part of our profession. We don't have anything that we absolutely need. With that said...

I prefer to go into the field with high end gm lore leather armor and an exploding crate to get out of the particularly tough para ganks. Some heal and cure pots...and maybe even some enchanted apples or orange petals. If I have the ninja skill on, I'll also add shurikins and egg/smoke bombs as well. If I have healing and anatomy, I add bandaids. I usually have magery in my template so if I am going to be out for a while, I'll usually add 25 of each reg as well and have my Siege bless on those toko double swords with the no penalty mage weapon.

Oh, and if I have a good evening of stealing, I usually have a bag with all of the items I've stolen. I look at it this way, if I make it back to the bank safely, I'll bank the items...if not, well, then the person or people who killed me, will have a nice little bag of loot to take off my corpse...kinda like a present from me for the fun they gave me, lol.

When I go out to the field...I am not the typical old "naked" thief...lol...la

My thief is purely skill dependant, but if you want to cram more stuff on a template. I guess you can bless a burglar bandana. I don't have magery at the moment so I just gate hop for my adventures. Everything I do is like a quest now.

My template, which is working well so far, is as follows:
120 ninja
120 wrestling or fencing
120 stealing
100 snooping
100 hide
111.5 stealth, working on 120
40 magery

I have gotten exhausted in walking everywhere, when I could be stealing. I wanted way to move magically- sadly, chivalry does not work noble journey here on siege, so magery was a must.
I was thinking of shadow dancers' ownership, to free up points for magery, but was lucky enough to purchase (yes, even thieves must purchase seasonally) magic endowing ring. On my right- bless pants and carry regs, on my left, bless ring and use scrolls. I considered my opinions.

I have seen skills, special moves, and spells disqualified again and again, and read of such a history. I have seen growing discontent with stealthing, and clamor for it's weakening. I once had it stopped at 80, for shadowstrike, but decided its' decreptitude is only a matter of time. It will come if people continue to complain, I fear. So I believed my best option was to grow my stealth, and bless the ring.

I had read another post where someone had an opinion that there were better objects to bless than shadow dancer pants. I considered this. Now I have some life and mana restore, can gate, and have strongest stealth and stealing anyway. But there are many more experienced thieves than this one, with history, and experience. I eagerly look to them for their thoughts and opinions, which may be wiser than my own.

Thank you for answers already given. I hope for more to be added.

I switch my Siege bless between these 3:

1) Ferret Talisman
2) -20, hit lightning, hci, stam leech, di kryss
3) Old school Inviso-sash

It doesn't matter what armor I'm wearing. Usually throw on whatever I looted the day before, just as long as I have 1 night sight piece. I horde those.

That is awesome Chad. I love the one in Despise where you ripped off 115 ninjitsu and 115 bushido

I too attempt to change my template, to keep victims guessing. I have not attempted a thug-thief, however. People are better equipped and trained than this one. But how sad that is!! If tactics were not needed, how effective a "jitte, or blackjack" (club) would be! Shadowstrike and dismount together would be very nice indeed for thief.

I'd siege bless a burglars bandana and then just use gm leather armour after that + any reagents/smoke bombs/etc you need for your template
