It might be a little late for Thanksgiving but maybe they might turn us on an event when pub 69 hits. Better late than never

This update going to fix pirate ships? The bad white cloth color in the EC? The bad white leather color in the CC? Make Fishing worth doing? Make Fishing powerscrolls above 105 seriously more likely to be received? Add fishing rewards other than 10,000 uses of various baits? Make saltpeter more available? (Remember? The big deal of High Seas was to fight ship to ship with cannons?)

Make sure you definitely take care of the first and last ones listed. (Remember? The big deal of High Seas was to fight ship to ship with cannons?

We're a quarter of the way to the next Booster Cal and the first one is still fouled up. If you want the next one to sell well, then get this Booster working right so it's fun to play before trying to make another one.

And after High Seas becomes something that was worth paying for, start planning the next Booster but try making the next one more fun than tedious. The tedious more than fun aspect of High Seas, and all it's bugs, means I'm going to ignore the next Boosters advertising as low quality baloney. High Seas's advertising, true features, and obviously defective programming, has made sure of that. It's actually worse than AoS was, and at least we were given something as a peace offering for putting up with it.

Not even an "I survived High Seas" shirt to stuff into a bankbox and forget.

Good lord! I've never heard so much griping in my life. I've just returned to UO after almost 5 years away exploring other games--WoW, D&D Online, Lord of the Rings Online, and a few others. None. And I mean none of these modern MMO's provides half the fun of UO. And all of them have issues, bugs, server outages, etc. Shoot, a friend just told me that the spankin' new Call of Duty: Black Ops servers have crashed several times in the last week.

So quit you bellyaching and have fun--appreciate the wonderful things about our game. You will be happier.

Wintermute i get your point, but really have to agree with Tanavar. These problems have been around for a long time now, its not like the "modern" games when a server might crash for a day, or there might be a bug thats not fixed for a few weeks.

Now this is UO, so yes, it doesnt get as much attention as modern games, but still after a certain point things really should be addressed before anything new is worked on.

Ive had absolutely no interest is the high seas booster because of all the problems, and just the tedium of it. The only reason i might spend the 15 bucks is to be able to use the new items... and thats kinda sad.

So screw thanksgiving! We didnt get anything worthwhile for halloween so why thanksgiving? And hey, everyone is still killing bjillions of meers or whatever to get a book with a name on it right... ?

<laugh> I made my living working Electronics Quality Control. Things were right or somebody heard about it Close wasn't good enough, and the workmanship we are seeing is not even close. People make mistakes, but people guilty of releasing work like this were gone. You don't send faulty products to customers. It tends to lose business, as we've been seeing for years.

<gets off his soapbox>

I tend to play mostly up to UO:SE. ML was mainly crafting ingredients on supermonsters, SA was much the same though it did give us Imbueing to let those without the 10 hours of playtime a day have really good equipment :) , and High Seas has fallen really short of it's advertising, Plus theirs the bug list.

Their discoraging people posting bugs (not the same as exploits) so others can avoid them is probably to save themselves embarrassment.

Until they start releasing work that is high quality. we are going to complain. As paying customers, we have that right. :thumbup1:
