First off a big thank you to all that have replied with regards to my spreading of talent points. Secondly I have decided to spread my points into BM and at the moment they are all over the place because I was so keen to get started! I think there is a way where I can "untrain" myself of all my talent points but it costs, any one an idea of how much? Also it says that I lose any summoned pet I have. I take it I lose my pet thats been with me up to my present level (32). I like cats (he was a moonstalker runt) is that the best one to go for? I would like an all round pet because at the moment I am soloing ost things, any pointers? A lot of questions there but I hope you can help a damsel in distress! Main one being shall I reset my points and get a new pet and will it cost me the earth to do it.

First time you unlearn talents it costs 1 gold, second time 5 gold, and after that it goes up 5g each time you do it until it stops at 50 gold.

For a good all-around pet I'd say boar.

If you reset your own talents, you shouldn't lose the pet you have. (AFAIK)

Yo definitely do not lose your pet, and i love my moonstalker runt. im lvl 70 and hes been the only pet i actually use and play with. cats are great cause later on if u spread yur talents in BM wisely and yur pet's skills points in their skills (not many resistances, focus on Natural armor and the Stamina one) then you should come out with a tank cat with wicked dps as well :)

My bf uses a boar because he likes how its charge stops people in their tracks when he's shooting them, but I use the moonstalker since I got it when I was like level 11 lol.

But you dont lose your pet when you redo your spec, so as long as you have a little gold, go for it!

WOTLK:

Tanking: Worm, hands out. Amazing. Sunder armor, taunt, last stand, growl make for an amazing tank. Turtle: Amazing, and the best due to its shell armor effect and non exotic.

DPS: Chimaera: hands down my favorite so far. Has a frost-nature bolt that can slow the target slightly, and can attack from range or melee very well.

Raptor: Honestly, this might even top Chim as dps; it's Rend is amazing. Non exotic.

Rounded: Silithid: Can deal decent dps, and decent tanking capabilities

Wolf: Has very good stats in all areas, and has an awesome party-wide buff.
