I can't tell you how disappointed I am to know you're leaving us. One of the only developers left who was around when the original code was written. You were one of the only archaeologists still there to interpret the code. ACK!
Well, I didn't even start on UO until after Renaissance. But I'm proud to say that I worked on it so long that I once started cursing the programmer who wrote a particular piece of script I was debugging -- and when I looked up the revision history I realized I was cursing myself.

Phoenix aka Vex, please tell us, did you finish working on the currency issue, making gold account bound? I was pretty sure this was one of your many projects, and would like some feedback. I haven't heard anything since the 15th anniversary party.
I honestly have no idea what is on the schedule for UO now. The accounting back-end for the Fortune's Fire casino was designed to be expandable, so that it could form the basis for the virtual currency conversion.

Also I knew it was possible you were adding some form of Texas Hold'Em to the Fire Island Casino, will that still happen?
That is something I argued with myself over whether it should be done. It's definitely something I would have liked to do, but: 1> It would have taken ten times as much work to build than it did to make the player-versus-the-house table games; 2> The audience for it likely would not have been broad enough to justify the investment; and 3> There's the basic question of why would we build a modern card game into UO instead of working directly on the core game.
