Template and Suit Help

I did very, very old school pvp and would like to get back into it...I've been out of it since maces had crushing blow and short spear was my weapon of choice due to the chance for paralyzing hits. Here's a mage I have set up that may be ready to go:

120 magery
120 eval
120 resist
120 fencing
120 meditation
100 poisoning
20 focus

Do I need tactics to use specials (including infectious strike)? Should I replace focus with anything else, and do I need max magery or not?

Secondly, what should my goal be for my suit? Max resists, 45 HCI/DCI, 40 LMC, SDI (I think 30 is the cap with this template?), how much MR, LRC?

If someone has a link/pic of their suit, I'd appreciate that. Thanks in advance.

The template is good, it's a hard suit to make but imbuing is nice so it's possible to do. You have a few options for an adjustment to the temp, but it depends on what you want to do. I would get rid of the focus, and drop meditation down a little bit depending on what you want to do. You don't really need 100 poisoning, but I would never say turn it down. With the new changes to poisoning you have a chance to do lethal (level 5) poison scaled off your poisoning skill.

If you just want to use the infectious strike special you do not need tactics. For any other special you will need tactics, but if you use a kryss for example you could run 70 tactics and use both specials. It is hard to hit high damage AI's however. Another option is getting a cleaver and having bleed/poison for 70 tactics. Either go to swords or find a ubw cleaver. Of course you could go to 90 tactics also and use what ever weapons you want.

For the suit it goes back to what do you want to do? If you plan on using your weapon a lot you will need high HCI. You always want 45+ DCI, hit lower defense is a given in pvp now so you will almost always have a -25 DCI penalty. 70DCI counteracts this. Suit should be something like as close to all 70s as possible, 2/6 casting,100LRC,40LMC,30SDI,+25HPI. Are you using potions? If so you will want some EP. It's a hard suit to do since you need everything.

Are there any must-have artifacts at this point? If I recall correctly, I have orny, inquisitor's resolution, some SC HCI DCI shields, and leather gear that must be replaced.

Weapon Mods - what's "best", or is this where you would add in some HCI/DCI to hit caps?

Is there a typical leather people use to get to max resists? I'd guess you could mix it up between the 3 types or even be able to use the same type and just imbue as needed.

Hi,

If you have a leather suit made by someone who has GM Arms Lore, I believe you will get 5 more resist points randomly spread about the pieces of armor. This helps out when your trying to imbue a suit with maxed out properties.
