I love the Teleporters. My only negative view is that they made this a 12yr reward which will adversely affect the number of these in use. If they made these a little more available then more players would be able to see how "on track" the Dev team is now.

Well, thirty bucks would be too rich for my blood, but i agree that they should be for sale ($9.99 or so, imo). Craftable might be nice, but they'd do it like the acad bookcases, which would make them only a little more available than now.

I have to tell ya, if they sold these in the store I would open my second account just to have a pair of linked houses. I hate to short 12 year accounts, but these items are amazing in their usefulness and worth.

make it so the 12th year ones don't use "Charges" and the purchasable ones have to be charged with Gate Scrolls or something.

I don't think a vet reward should be something so great and unlike anything else that is avaialable... it can still be better though.

It's probably too late to ask for that. Many good ideas get implemented as vet rewards or power-ups, precluding them from crafts or other professions.

If they allowed teleporters to be craftable, it would likely be implemented in some lame fashion like the craftable hitching posts; limited uses, pain in the ass to recharge, and generally inferior.

I'd be okay with $9.99 a pair, thirty bucks is a bit steep.

This is the best item ever in my opinion real close to the first ethereals.

That is if you have more then one house...
with a grandfathered houses it is like I have one really huge house now.

I would like it if they expanded this concept.
place a rune or a rune book in the teleporter to set its location.

This probably would be a good money maker for them if they put it up for sale on UOGamecodes so I imagine there would be a possibility of it. As a 12th year vet who got two of these teleporters, I'd love to see it up there so I could get more.

Having said that, I'm sure there are old vets who are more interested in selling them off for the sizable sum of gold they'll get from them. You'll hear complaints from them if this happens. Even if EA waits a little while, you know there's going to be someone who says, "Oh great, I was 1 month away from being able to choose these and sell em off and EA you go and ruin it!"

i tried the teleporters on the middle of a room and the pets followed ok, i think the prob was that originally the teleporter was in a corner so pets did not follow, just makes me want them more now that i know they work well!

Im not 12 years yet, but say keep them as is.

A great reward for the 12 year vets. Use them or sell them.

In response to your statement in another thread where you asked for vet reward picks to be for sale:


I personally would be against that, simply because veteran rewards should be a bonus for account age loyalty. However, in the case of teleporters, you are talking about an item that will do multiple things.

They can draw player run towns together.

They can help merchants link shops.

They allow housing plans (side by side homes etc) to flow.

And in the end, Mythic's bottom line cannot be hurt by having people keep extra accounts open to have multiple linked houses.

with regards to other posts, that state the 12yr vets should be rewarded with the teleporters, I AGREE

they get free teleporters and other can pay anything up to 60m for them, from the vets

that is hardly fair to others imo

soooooo, vets get free rewards, well done, and thanks etc, and the non vets HAVE to buy them from the store


so this way everyone wins


if you want them, pay, if not don't, i can only see this going one way, and thats making even MORE money for EA

See here is the thing. Even though my account was activated in 1997, I don't have the accumulated time.

I would love an Engraving Tool, but I don't have the account time. I would love a mining cart, banners, and so many other things. Those items are all cool and useful and I believe should be Veteran Only items.

But the teleporters are where I personally break with convention. These items are beyond useful for the entire population. To limit them to a select (all-be-it deserving) few, you take a superb item and marginalize it.
