I think I have lost a part of my head,probably because of work.
Now I can't remove my decorative shield.
Did not work with double click on it or axe it and I use house owner.

You may need to "release" it first.

I think it's 6. I have 9 now and I think I had 3 available before.
*laughs* I liked Amber's answer better! Well I have 2 picks now so if it ever rolls over, at least I'll have 4 picks! yay!
I tried to release and lockdown a few times ,didn't work.
Shields are on the third page of house add ons.
All the different shards are represented with a shield,a full page of shards.
Europa shard transfer shield is what it said before I choosed it.
I got two shields now and have 5 more to pick if I want to.
The good thing is that I got a transfer token right away when I clicked on the shield,instead of a month waiting for the first token.

I saw your question after my answer above but it does not hurt to point out that the decorative shield is NOT the shard shield.
Third page of house add ons.There are a full page with all shards names.
I choose Europa shard transfer shield and Atlantic shard transfer shield.

You have to use the char that placed the shield.
I placed one with my crafter, and my tamer, who owns the house cannot remove it, only my crafter can.

I find it upsetting that it ain't possible to change the Shard of the Shield from one month to the other thus forcing players to build up a stock of account bound tokens all for the same one shard, forever, whether players will use these same shard tokens or not.........
It would have been much, much better if the Shard could have been changed from one mont to the other thus adjusting to changed needs of players.....
I'm confused! Decorative shields? Where did this come from? I can only find mention of the transfer shields in the notes.

Okay so you had 8 vet rewards to chose and you chose all shields? These are the ones that give tokens correct?
At first I thought they were too big but they actually look very nice like that, I'm impressed.

it seems that a few of us are confused regarding shields.
Decorative shield is 5-7 year vet reward something.
Look good and are decorative.
Shard transfer shield gives transfer tokens.
Edit:It says 4th year veteran reward when I klick on it.

I'm happy that we got any shield at all.
The boring part is that if you can only choose two shields most of the people will choose Atlantic and home shard if it is not Atlantic.Not that many are 14 year vets and among us not many have a big pile of rewards to collect.
I have two shields,Europa and Atlantic, and I'm sure its any use to collect more shards.I have 5 more rewards so I could get a few more.
Great Lakes,Chessy and Lake superior are the biggest shards I think.
If we could change every month what shard to get it would be to easy and no reason to have more than one or two.Maybe a better idea would be to have a random choice available.Every month you get a random shard token to collect.

Yes, i have 7 more choices on this same account and 10 more on another. I don't normally use up rewards (obviously with so many unchosen) but since they are account bound there was no way around it this time.
I think they would be really cool at half the size they are currently so i could put 1 per square on the wall.

THIS is very very bad... If i deleted a char then I could not remove it.. This seems an oversight.
this isn't how it works...you can lock down / release with any character on that account. i have claimed these even on another shard with a temporary character just for transferring and when i transferred the deed using the token it gave me right away, gave that deed to another character on that account and placed it. I just retested it with a different character on that account and was able to unlock and reclaim the deed again. I have since deleted the claiming character.THIS is very very bad... If i deleted a char then I could not remove it.. This seems an oversight.
it is a two step process. You have to double click the deed then place and then lock down. When you want it back you have to release then double click the shield to get the deed back. I have done this on multiple characters on the same account. They always used the house on their account though. That might be the problem. If you are only co owner on that account/character then there could be problems.

Can you set security settings on the transfer shields? Can someone other than the house owner get a token from it? Can the transfer shield be traded to a different 14yr account and used, or are the transfer shields no-trade just like the tokens they generate?
I think I just finally understood the shard shields: You get one for where you're already at. Then you get one for where you want to go. Then you collect both tokens, transfer to where you want to go, and since you took with you the one from whence you came, you can then use it to get back.
So these are really only useful if you have at least a pair. Luckily, you get 2 vet reward picks per year, so you can choose your initial pair immediately.
I have 15 picks right now at 12 years, so I'll have 19 when I hit 14 years. If only I hadn't picked those 6 things back in the day, I'd be able to get shields for all 25 shards right off the bat! (Not counting Siege or Mugen, which, obviously, you cannot transfer to or from.)

Transfer shields can not be traded,it is account bound and the same goes for tokens you get from shield.Transfer shield have to be locked down otherwise you do not get any tokens.Any char from the account can get the tokens.
If char from 14 year account lockdowns the shield in co owned house,the house owner can't get the tokens.No need to set security because of the account bound thingy.

Well,it is still possible to buy token as usual so even one shield is useful.
One shield for homeshard and buy one for oneway travel.
I will lockdown the shields in my house and bring the home shard token to whatever shard I plan to visit.That way my shields are safe and I can get home again.
Shield have to be lockdowned to give any tokens.

Maybe that's what one of the Christmas gifts will be. I agree that they are nicely done. I really like the Oceania graphic, but I have no need for the token. I'm picking one for Legends and one for Atlantic, but I am not in love with either of the graphics.
