Okay; please look at the following screenshot thingy.




Look how long it's going to take to download the patch... 50 Hours...
Is it... Supposed to take this long?...

I mean; it's not like I've a shoddy computer, and it has plenty of memory/hard-drive to put stuffs.
Should I close it and try again?

For one patch? Gods, I hope not!

If you are trying to install and patch the original up to today's Build 1.4, then aye...it's possible. However, I notice in your shot that you already have it at 1.3.53 - so really, 50 hours would be absurdly long.

Sometimes the launcher seems to be a bit iffy on accurately stating anticipated download times. Wait and see if it (hopefully!) changes to something within the realm of reason. If it persists with its 50-hour nonsense, I'd head over to the Known Issues/Troubleshooting Forum and post about your plight there, and/or read it for a possible solution.

There is another point, however. On Patch Days (this is one!), the launcher is always notoriously slow, as every player hammers it simultaneously. You might have better luck cancelling, and then trying again in the wee small hours when traffic is not as likely to be heavy.

Pardon the additional post; for some reason, I still cannot edit mine

Alright, I went ahead and started patching Build 1.4 at 8:15pm Pacific time tonight - after patching for 2.5 hours, it cancelled. (dunno why) I X'ed out and restarted, and the patching resumed where it had left off. 1.25 hours later, it was complete.

So...3.75 hours total for me (on mid-range DSL). Of course, your mileage might vary!
