Updated without a problem and got in. And I did not use the client, but the first time i got stuck at 50% entering a lot, second time I landed.

I'm getting the castnet error now... deleted it but continue to get that as error after sitting on verify for good 10 minutes. east coast too ....

Well the update is also that free players can't go to work anymore in TC3.

The updater wouldn't update for me, but once it timed out, I chose "continue", and it did patch the game and let me in.

Backdrops are great! However, I can't get to the diner to work for any simoleans to purchase one. Aparently it is not just free accounts that are affected by this inability to go to jobsites. My premium account sim cannot get to work either.

How long would the 'calculating the size of the update' thing be running before it'd be safe to say it wasn't gonna work? Finally able to log in today, but getting that loop that was talked about earlier in the thread and wondering if it's supposed to be resolved?

ETA: Oh gawd, castanet error...it's been so long since I've seen one of those I've forgotten what to do about it? I have the new EA Land download after uninstalling TSO a while ago....any ideas?

ETA2: Nevermind, I clicked 'Retry' just for [censored] and grins, and it seems to have resolved itself.....updating now \o/
