I love the new loot table mix.. I have been testing them out and they are wonderful. My only complaint is the 25 durability on the brittle weapons. I got a nice large battle axe. I thought lets give it a go.. after less then 2 mins the weapon was at 0/16. I greatly understand the need to have the limited durability but some weapons with whirlwind and hit area are almost non useable. Before anyone starts to cry that they would ruin PvP, all the good stuff I have found all has the Cursed tag. Also most good ones have so many minor mods that they can't be imbued.
So if I die anyone or anything can loot it. I did notice that not one weapon in shame got the use best weapon skill. It seems to be forced off. Nor have I got any slayer type of any kind. On armor seems most of the mixes seem to have such low resist that not sure I would use any of the armor I found. and again so many minor mods that they can't be imbued.. This would keep me hunting in the dungeons for sure if the resists on armor would be tweaked just a bit. Some really great combo mixes on the weapon make them fun to try. The item can can never be repaired should come with a durability tag of 0/#. # being the random durability from the start.

Very happy with something else to hunt in the dungeons again.. Oh and by the way.. Stop by the old Elder grazer room while you are in shame.. You're bound to enjoy that.. Now if they would just take the doors off.. LOL

Other Missing Mods so far noted.. Mage Armor.. Just thought about not seeing elvem armor in there.. going to check that too.
If the higher end Artifacts were exceptional and had a better base for armor that would help greatly.

faster casting
gargoyle earrings
nightsight
spell channeling - I've only seen it on gnarled staves
mage armor
samurai or elf armor
swing speed increase only on weapons - intended?

Update.. Got some Leather Glove with some very nice resists. Energy 12%, HCI 5%,
Phy 22%

25/25 dur

Split damage seems to be in the roll. I see in some cases the weaker loot tend to have fewer mods so also can be better to imbue if it gets a newer type of non- imbue-able mod...
I wish the creatures in shame had fewer HP due to the wear on the new weapons types. That would mean making them hit just a bit harder.. I did note that almost all the creature that cast have a massive mana regen much like the abyss key guardian. In wraith form I keep getting mana and they keep casting. All and all it makes hunting for a new great weapon alot of fun and you can makes some crazy mixes.
The weapons tables need to be expanded to include more Asian & Elven types. Lack of mage armor makes all good metal items non meditation use-able due to the number of mods and the complete lack of this mod in the current test loot table.
Some of the loot on the 1st lv have a bit too many mods. I think those should be scaled back a bit.

A standard air elemental can be a real pain to kill due to the rapid healing via greater heal. Using a weapon with mortal wound is highly advised. I am working on summoning one of the mini champs and will post pics of the loot from them, So far the best loot come from the Eternal Grazers that have a supper massive hp pool.

With all the new spell damage type they really need to fix the spell focusing sashes again..
These new weapons help out the ninja greatly. Gives many boosts that are not spell casting related. Allowing the greater stamina and health regen.

I stopped playing UO because of imbuing and the hit monster hunting took. It was my favorite part of the game.


I may be coming back due to this patch! I love hunting and getting rare items! I think I'll wait till it's published to see the final result... but I'm getting the itch to try this out!!!

while i love the idea of uber high end loot that has low dur, and i do like that!
i do agree that they die off realllllllllllllllllly fast.

like its back enough that they are cursed, but 25 dur is just nasty!

like above i got a nice axe, like a 7 or 9 mod one, it has a tonne of leeches on it and hit effects.

i didnt even get one gazer dead and the axe went poof.

now, again, i agree that having these high end items cursed and non fixable, but the durability has to be higher on them for them to even get used.

like mentioned above, they need to set a range and make it a random RNG thing to assigning the dur.

25-150 or something.
hell, tie it into the luck system like everything else!

this was from hunting in the basement with a over 2000 luck suit.

i noticed there where some weapons that had like 80% Chaos damage.
those where interesting!

You do notice that none of the items pictured in this thread are free of a debilitating effect. I know the system is new, but I hope the chances are such that we can get a repairable, non-cursed artifact after a couple hours of play.

I love the uniquness of the items this patch brings. Now add clothing items and talismans with 1 or 2 mods to fill out the suit options.

It's how they are balancing otherwise ABSURDLY overpowered items. Yes you get some crazy mods, but they come at a cost, generally it seems durability and ability to repair (or lack thereof) meaning it's stupidly useful, but only for a very limited time. However, seeing how many pics we've been seeing already it looks like the items will not be so prohibitively rare that people will feel like they can't use them because replacing them will be difficult... right now it will be because of the durability issue, but I think that will be overcome in time in some fashion.
