Talent question

I'm working on my first mage. He's a level 16 gnome. I want to make him survive in solo pvE for now that is my main concern. I was hoping I could get some advice please.

I used my points so far in: 2 in frost warding, 3 in elemental precision, and 2 in arcane subtlety.

So far, I have used the talents that give me a general overal boost and not concentrating on any one tree or talent. I'm thinking of going frost and my next eye is on ice shards and wand specification.

What do u sugest?

Thanks

Frost mage is good for survivability in PvE. I've thrown together a quick talent spread you can use up to level 40. Gives survivability, chance of big frost hits, and lots of slowing / freezing of mobs. I'd respec and just start going down the tree.

Increased wand damage is pretty much not used...you shouldn't be wanding unless you run out of mana, and with frost you kinda have to TRY to run out of mana.

I think that level from 1 to mid-30s, you should stick to fire, after mid-30s or 40, can try frost and see if you can get the AoE leveling down. Round up 5-10 mobs, AoE them down, drink up, and repeat, hehe.
