Taking a week off from Siege and The Siege boards

All this drama is getting on my nerves and I really don't play UO to create more stress in my life :) Which really is where playing on Siege and Participating in this board is at right now. Some great co-owners of the Zento Hub House that can friend folks to it. The Network is complete as far as my public houses go. So I am going to spend a week or so building my Legends Zento Ghetto and figuring out how to do the strip and peepshow house and the crack house in the most distasteful and offensive deco possible :)

I will log onto Siege to co own a couple of people to the new Painted Cave house but other than that I am going to spend some time in a more relaxing environment than is offered on Siege at this time.

It is LOL been wanting to do the ghetto for a couple of years now. LOL at some point though I must have transferred all my gold to GL or more likely Atlantic for a shopping trip :( So been farming the abyss to build 12 houses up from dirt plots......... Still having trouble finding strippers and stripper poles though :p

Was not going to say anything about this and just pass quietly into the spirit world. A couple of you though are FB friends and have mentioned this to other friends in game. No I am not angry and I am actually very touched by your concern. 3 months ago I was diagnosed with a malignant tumor that is attached to my spine where my neck and shoulders meet. It is inoperble as it is very entwined in my spinal cord. In short I am going to die. We could try to remove it but the surgeon says I have about a 3% chance of surviving and would be parylyzed from the neck down. That is not acceptable for me and would not be living. Please no sympathy, I have no fear of death and am ready to walk with honor in the spirit world with my ancestors. I went to the Doctor Friday and got the results of the xrays scans and battery of test. The cancer has grown pretty fast up and through my spinal column and has entered my skull. The pain most of the time is nearly unbearable. So depending on how it progresses from here I have somewhere between 3 weeks and 3 months left in this life or I could fall over dead tomorrow. Personally I am banking on the 3 months because I stuff I need to get done before I make the long walk to the spirit world.

IF I don't make it that long, I want to thank all the players of Siege and Legends for many years of good times and friendships. I have been debating what to do with all of my things in game. On siege part of me says just move everything into the island keep and let it go IDOC when I die and my wife cancels my credit cards. On legends I will probably move everything into my prime swamp castle and give it to a friend. It has been a pleasure being a part of UO for these last 18 years through the good and the bad.... LOL Remember AOS Launch :)
or the Shard Wipe.... This is not good bye yet as I still have some time, and When Tyrath is not seen anymore and my houses go into decay... You good folks know why :) Honestly my focus and attention span is not high enough at this time to play on Siege and the drama makes my head throb Literally :) So I guess if I don't see you again this is goodbye and not if I do see you again :)

Ok no sympathy, but want to say sorry for all the drama causing your throbbing headaches.It also a pleasure meeting you here on stratics. A note on UOHomeDecor lack of posts kayhynn posted that her husband has terminal cancer

Sadly it is not and short of a miracle the outcome is clear :) There is one fairly radical treatment option that involves a lot of radiation and a lot of chemicals. That might slow it down 50/50 chance and with ongoing treatment and judicious cutting over a couple of year could possible cure it. About 10% Talking with a couple of survivors that had this treatment it is not pleasant and carries a lot of risk as not only does it damage the cancer cells it will damages my spinal cord. To beat a old phrase to death "Hoka Hey" Today is a good day to die, but it is also a good day to live if the opportunity presents itself :) That is for Wakan Tanka to decide!

Drama and Siege have always gone hand in hand. The drama of the last few months is mild compared to some in years past :)

The Zento Hub if anyone wants to take it over..... I will be happy pull all the destination tiles (Except Frejas and Kelmos and Victims) and transfer them and the hub house. Just ask that it remain some form of public whether straight up public or via friending.

The garden house with all the raised beds fire painting and ship paintings. I want to go to someone that will use and not break it down and sell everything.

The Wolf House several folks have asked about buying it over the years , I will be in touch.

And the Island Keep, LOL I am going to turn it over to the executor of my UO will and have him pass things out.

My sincerest apologies for the petty, silly arguments we've had lately over this Siege drama. Hindsight being 20/20 and all that..I certainly would have taken a different path had I known what you've been dealing with in life. My wife tells me all the time that I should always be a good person and not just wait until something bad happens to then wish I were. She's right.....Godspeed sir.

Tyrath, I only met you recently when you showed me all your lovely island houses. It was an honor and a joy to see all the wondrous places you have built in your reclusive Siege life. I would never have guessed you were fighting a life threatening illness--you were so cheerful and positive.

I have nothing but love and respect for you. I will be praying for you. God bless you and your family, and treasure all the moments of your life--which I hope will be longer than you think.

Guess I might not get to come for those chanterelles, but if things change, let me know and I will bring the pineapple!

You know guys my farm is 40 miles north of the middle of nowhere. My one saving grace on having contact with the outside world was verizon 4g tower they built here. I really don't have much of a family outside of my wife who works down there in the middle of nowhere :) Guess what I am trying to say is in many ways you guys are my family of sorts. Even if we have never interacted or talked, I still see you in GC others of you I have know since the start. Others I have only known for a year or three. When I take a break I log into UO and either just watch or maybe talk sometimes. I just got home from the hospital a couple hours ago. I was literally at deaths door most of last night, a complication from this are major body wide infections and by the time I got to the hospital my body had turned septic. So all day one IV antibiotic and steroids after another. finally got my temp down to 104 and wanted to put me in the ICU. To be blunt Screw that. The bacteria this time is a highly antibiotic resistant strain. After Discharging myself AMA we did come to compromise that I would go the local butcher shop (Hospital) and get a new IV Cocktail every morning. Looking like if they can't find a cocktail to kill this bacteria it ain't gonna be the Cancer that kills me but the kidneys and liver shutting down from the infection. KInd of funny actually, you get your heart all set on going out one way, and then the great mystery tosses you a curve ball :)

Trying to get the outlying houses dropped and everything moved into the island keep and get everything sorted and bagged so that Doc can hand out the bags to folks I want to have specific things. LOL the executor of my UO Will :) Hoping someone will take over the hub and keep it going. It is a small house but a good location and I believe 16 sets of rechargable tiles. Will give you and Frejas vet tiles back before I log out for the last time OH and Vics recharge tile :)

If you cannot find someone to take the hub house over I'll take it. Anyone who has teleporters there will be able to keep them there and also be co-owned to the house.

I ran into you a couple years back at the entrance to one of the solem hives( east of yew?) where you have a house. you showed me a couple of your houses and that was the first and only time I have seen you in game.

I'm not religious so I don't have any witty words of comfort but it seems like you have lived a good life. that's all you really can ask for.
We will all have the same journey some sooner then others but the stories all end the same way.

I sent you a pm the other day when you posted the news, but I imagine you have received many in the last few days. Unfortunately in RL we cant just rez after we ghost.

Hopefully the infection will subside enough that you can enjoy a few more horse shoes before you move on. Next year when I'm up that way I'll have one in your honor!! I didn't really know you that well, but I know you will be missed.

I think the only folks that see me fairly regularly are Doc and Vic. But I do remember you and pretty much everyone else I have met over the years

You know I am not big into memorials, atleast not one for me :) But this is a good idea anyone that would want to remember me could keep it and anyone that doesn't could trash it :)
