the new slimes. They DP often and will let your CU gain healing over 90. My CU went from 91 to 94 healing in a couple of hours playing with the new super slimes. Other than that the slimes have no redeaming qualities unless you like the crappy colors to dye things.

thanks for the tip. A much faster way to raise the Cu's healing is always great to know.
I, myself, really like the new colors. My chars have a mix of the gun metals and the dark blue. Thanks Devs!

If you don't mind me asking, where are these slimes?? I heard that they are west of Britain? Maybe around the Crossroads?

It seems there is a problem with the slimes only three shards have them, Baja, Pacific, and Napa. Something else I found out there are two versions of the slimes one type has 120 poisioning and the other zero...

Great tip! Thanks!

Atlantic had slimes just southwest of the city the other day, in the farms.

I can't seem to find me the nice dark blue slime, though! :p

Slimes are back near the Brit fields by the pass again. As for colors, they change color every so often. Just have to wait.

Re raising Cu's skills...

We all know once a CU gets to 90.0 Healing, all gains stop. Here's what I just did tonight. I took my Discoed (120) Cu to Kitsune Wood and killed 21 Kits (that was all the gold I could carry!). These are the results:

Resist 94.5 -> 95.0 -- 0.5 gain
Healing 97.2 -> 97.7 -- 0.5 gain
~ 20k gold

Took about 25 mins...you must allow the Cu to Heal up after each kill. I only Vetted the Cu if it's health gets down to the little triangle thing.

At 90.0 Healing the gains 1.0 - 1.5. Truly amazing imho.

These are the fastest and safest Heal/Resist gains I have ever experienced.

The reason this works so well, imho, is Disco. 90.0 -- 99.9 real Healing is reduced to 64.8 -- 72.0 after Disco and at these levels, gains are fairly frequent. The Cu also takes more damage (reduced Resists) hence more opportunities to Heal. Kits have deep manna pockets hence the Resist gains. An all around win-win! I just hope it continues to GM Healing/Resist!

Edit:

I may have been a bit premature with my previous comments. I immediately went back to Kitsune Wood with my Discoed Cu and we killed an additional 20 Kits with these results:

Resist 95.0 -> 95.2 -- 0.2 gain
Healing 97.7 -> 97.9 -- 0.2 gain
~ 20k gold

This took about 30 mins and was not too shabby but disappointing compared to previous results. Maybe the RNG is playing with me tonight. I will try again tomorrow. G'Night!

I also used Disco on my Cu while training healing on rotters. When he got poisoned, i discoed him. I noticed that when his Stamina was low and he would heal up, his stamina would start to rise past the 125 mark at full health. So now, he's past 125 but still at 90 healing. lol. Am considering using Kitsunes now. good report!

I'm the guy advocating Training a Discoed Cu's Healing on Kits...

Just now I took a different Tamer and a Different Cu to the Kitsune Woods. We killed ~20 Kits, ~3 Kaze and some Hell Hounds in 37 minutes. Results:

Resist 95.1 -> 95.1 -- 0.0 gain
Healing 97.8 -> 98.4 -- 0.6 gain
~20k gold

Very nice Healing gain at that level imho.

Edit...

RNG Weirdness maybe. Same Tamer & same Cu back to Kitsune Woods. 41 minutes -- I'm letting the Kits have a fair number of free-shots before I ask my Cu to engage in battle. Killed ~ 23 Kits only. Results:

Resist 95.1 -> 95.6 -- 0.4 gain
Healing 98.4 -> 98.7 -- 0.3 gain
~20k gold

I'm not unhappy with these gains but things seem to be slowing down. Had a lot of Kits target me rather than Cu. Still good gains at these levels!

Weirdness: morphed Cus seem MUCH weaker than un-morphed Cus??? Is this possible/logical?

I spent about 15 minutes chasing around a dark blue slime yesterday to get pieces from a couple armor suits dyed. My cu gained .4 healing (from 80.3 - 80.7). That seemed like good gains to me! :)

Weekend update...

I'm the guy advocating Training a Discoed Cu's Healing on Kits...

Tonight I took my Discoed Cu to the Kitsune Wood for 2 sessions (determined by how much gold I can carry!). We killed a total of 43 Kits, 3 Kaze and a few red cats. I allowed the attackers quite a few free hits before asking the Cu to attack and I allowed the Cu enough time after each kill to completely heal so we spent a total of 1hr and 22 minutes with these results:

Resist 95.6 -> 96.6 -- 1.0 gain
Healing 98.7 -> 99.6 -- 0.9 gain
~40k gold

With this I am seriously pleased! I might even try to GM Healing tonight!!!
Dog bless Disco & Kits!

Final update

I'm the guy advocating Training a Discoed Cu's Healing on Kits...

Back to Kitsune Wood to GM Healing. ~ 30 minutes -- killed 16 Kits, 2 Kaze & 1 HH:

Resist 96.6 -> 96.8 -- 0.2 gain
Healing 99.6 -> 100.0 -- 0.4 gain
~18k gold

This is the fastest, easiest & safest way I have employed to raise a Cu's healing. I estimate about 10 hrs from 90.0 to GM (with solid increases in resist as well).
