lets see here...

Dexxer...requires 120 wep 90 tact and MR to be COMPLETELY EFFECTIVE OFFENSIVELY AND DEFENSIVELY.

Mages?...120 eval 120 magery 120 med AND MR is required to be COMPLETELY EFFECTIVE OFFENSIVELY...

Do you see the difference? 210 skill to be effective offensive and defensively vs 360 just to be effective offensively?

I think you should sit down and honestly examine the differences of mages./dexxies before you say something ******** again...thanks.

How is it a free skill? You use swordsmanship and that gives you defense, we use magery and that gives us defense with a mage weap.

If you take away mage weaps it would make dexxers more powerful than mages which means whoever wins is decided on luck of the RNG and not skill.
You save 100 points ( 120 wrestle -20 mage wep) or 80 (100 anat -20 mage wep), by just holding an item.

Macro, how are mage weapons overpowered? They're not used for offense, mainly just defense.
They are indeed used for defense, but since you can imbue hit spell on them, a mage with mage wep will have more power than a mage who invests 120 in wrestle or 100 in anatomy, which is simply completely wrong.

That opinion is completely biased, how is a dexxer with no ability to heal himself completely effective defensively? On the other hand, mages only need int and str to be completely effective while dexxers also need some mana. And 120 med is really not needed. My mage with MR10 and 100 med never runs out of mana...

An effective dexxer invests much more than 210 skill points (and mages much more than 360), and it s indeed a competition to get the best from the 720 skill points invested. There are more or less powerful dexxer templates and more or less powerful mage templates. But when an item is better than a skill or a skill overpowered (like mysticism is), it has to be changed.

The cumparison dexxer/mage has to be investigated thoroughly. While dexxers have their own overpowered tools (Mortal Strike, Nerve Strike, Death Strike), mages have the ability to heal and cure from a distance, cast walls of stone, para fields, poison fields, earthquakes, AE curse etc...

No mages lose 20 skill points from the -20 magery, you use swords naturally so get the points for free.

lets take a step back from pvp balancing issues.

Lets say for pvp balancing it was a good idea (which it isn't), i don't like the idea of making the game more complex than it already is. There is already too much hidden game mechanics.
