Summon Fey for Reds

It seems like an oversight, my character was red long before Spellweaving came along, now that I've adopted the skill, I'm not allowed to do the Summon Fey quest, only the Summon Imp one.

The spells are NOT equal:

1. Pixies move and cast faster (at least it seems like they do).
2. Pixies are blue until you command them to do something, so ppl can't kill them without going crim. Imps come out red, and can be killed with no repercussion.
3. Summon imps causes a karma loss (I have a positive karma red so I can cast remove curse).

Is there no way to get the Summon Fey quest done as a red? I have a recently red mage/sw that I wisely did the Summon Fey quest on while she was blue, and she's now red with nice little blue pixies.

By the way, you HAVE to do the quest with the character in question, the scroll won't work even if you have it in your book.

You used to be able to do the spellweaving spells if it was in your book and you had atleast accepted quest but didnt complete, can you even accept quest?

This was how I trained my SW, was to get all the scrolls with an established mage and accepted the quests with my newbie SW, he was able to cast spells without completing quests

Trouble is though wont the FEY attack you immediately since your Red??

No, my summoned feys do not attack me, even though I'm red. And, no, I cannot even accept the quest because the Summon Fey quest starts in Heartwood, and reds cannot enter.

so if ur red and you want spellweav, theres gonna be two spells that you wont be able to cast?

You can be red and cast every Spellweaving spell. You just have to make sure you get the "Summon Fey" spell before you go red.

I guess the devs thought the Summon Fiend spell would be ok for reds, because it's very similar and you can collect the scroll from a quest even after you've gone red.

As I detailed above though, the spells are not indentical. Summon Fiends is not even worth casting.
