I want a house pet. It's been asked for before and we got crummy parrots
I want a house cat I can name Mr.Mittens that wouldnt need to be tame and wouldn't leave my property. Or maywe we could have a Item that we could use to bond an animal to it that we then lock down onto our property where the animal will be attached to, not a large animal liek a dragon though, mayeb just small ones .. birds, rats, cats, dogs, horses , cows, bulls ( for ppl that want their hoem to be a stable or farm) 1 animal per stone and the stone would need to be soemthing not big and bulky sicne soem ppl may want to have several and don't need it being an eyesore.

A Lottery Vendor! here's how it would work..
Person put sthe vendor on my house lot , they give the vendor the item (or bag of items) they wish to be the prize and set how much they want each "ticket" to cost and how many tickets they want it to have available.
Player will see the item and what the odds of winning are.they buy a ticket and either they win and the vendor congratulates them as their item is placed in their backpack or bank if there is no room, or the vendor says sorry you were not a winner.. or whatever.
The owner of the lotto vendor would not be allowed to retreive their item once a ticket has been purchased to ensure the lotto isnt used to scam ppl.

A wall mountable mailbox that can be mounted on an outside wall or door that is in scale with the size of houses. The graphic doesn't have to be large. It can be tiny like the small pouch or backpack. Maybe a few different designs to suit classic, elvish or gargish tastes.
I did a really quick search on the net and came up with a few pics of general ideas. I know that a lot of the detail would be lost when you reduce the sizes but it can be done well.

As long as while tethered to a plot the pet loses all ability to attack or be attacked. I don't mind if you can see the pet's stats while in this mode though as a way to brag. In fact this woudl allow for any type of tamable pet (animal or monster). Might also want to limit the number of pets one can have active at a time to reduce any major lag that could be introduced. Make it part of the house sign interface and assign one pet. The house sign could be the tether point and include so many tiles from the sign (inside or out).

I want pet dyes! in a gift box for anniversary.1 use bottles, color would be random ( I mean what colored bottle you get .. not that you use the dye and hope you like whatever color your pet ends up) but nothing extreme and definatly NOT blaze or white or black or red that would ruin rare cu'sidhes or black horses also no awesome purple to ruin the old event bunnies.

I'd like to have a Skree or a Fairy dragon as a house pet... A spider... Cat, Dog, Ancient Hell Hound... (All tame of course, yellow non-attackable).

That wanders about your house... but never leaves.



I'd like to have a "Butler/Maid" That keeps inventory of my house. So I can ask it things like "Do I have a 25 Stat Scroll?" And it could say "Why yes sir you do? Would you like me to get that for you?" And I could say "Yes".... and he would give it to me or I could take it from his "inventory".



I'd like to have a REVERSE Box that I could send stuff FROM my bank to my house.


I like the idea of new styles of Mailboxes.


I'd like to have a dressform that I can dress. Something to display clothes on that isn't going to need money like a vendor. (Because I can't remember to put money on stupid vendors that don't sell stuff) And besides I don't do vendors.


I'd like and NPC similar to the other one described that perhaps sells lottery tickets and takes them back.


A Ticket vendor would be neat too.


I want to have ways of adding more co-owners to my house. I need more than just 10 co-owners.



I'd like a parrot that will sit on my shoulder.


Still want a Jewelery box.


I'd like a portrait maker that makes self portraits... like the statue maker only that does paintings.

Those are just the tip of the iceberg for me.

As a 14th Year Veteran Reward I'd like to see :

1)
An account items search tool. It would work on all of the containers in an account's home and also within the bank boxes and backpacks of the account's characters as well as Blue Beetles they might be riding while logged off. Basically, it would search within the entire contents of a given account possessing the tool, no limitations, for any given item that is being searched for. Once found, it would tell, of course, where that item is located.

Claimable only by oldest accounts but usable by all.

I think this would be a PERFECT Veteran Reward as it is not ground breaking (players can still search for their items without it, the old way, one by one, or using storage management) and yet, it would be an helpfull addition and recognition of the support that veterans have given to the game keeping their account as active for so long.
It should be tradeable and usable by lower accounts even though only 14th Year Vet Accounts can claim.

Basically, players do not have to have this new tool to find their items, they can well look for them as they do now or just have their stuff well organized for faster retrieval, but if they wish so, they coulc still get it from 14th year veterans who would be the only ones eligible to claim it.

2)
Another 14th Year Veteran Reward I would like to see, is a 0 followers' slots ethereal mount. Not unbalancing since ethereal mounts cannot fight and yet handy to have.

3)
I'd like to see a resource converter like we have for ore (see the Ter Mur Quests) but for wood. Perhaps a tool which can convert, daily, a limited quantity of wood into another type (100 ?). We have it for ore I do not see why we cannot also have it for wood......

4)
- Special Book to hold 500+ Treasure Maps and count for 1 item

5)
- Special Container with filters (like for BODs) "Jewel Case" to hold hundreds of rings/bracelets and count for 1 item

6)
- Special "Seeds Box" container to hold hundreds of seeds. With filters to sort them out as needed and count for 1 item

7)
- Special "Armoire" container to hold hundreds of weaponry/armor. With filters to sort them out as needed and count for 1 item

8)
- Special "SoS" container to hold hundreds of SoSes. With filters to sort them out as needed and count for 1 item

- Special "Alacrity Scrolls" container to hold hundreds of them. With filters to sort them out as needed. This is not needed for Blue Scrolls as they can be binded one another and count for 1 item

• The Pet thing has been brought up a zillion times although with the advent of the new vendors in Mag and pet selling I could see it more likely now since half the code has already been written.
• I would really like to see a way to make checks at my house I'm still waiting to run a proper casino where people can bet against each other and the house just takes a %, I tried it once before with limited success the trips to the bank were just to cumbersome...
• I don't know that I necessarily want an ethy version but I'm still waiting for Elephants in UO, or Hippos *Shudders*
• Mailbox options would be nice...
• I love the wings idea!!!
• I Love the placeable door idea for classic homes idea that is mentioned later it could also be useful for new homes sometimes.

I'm gonna throw in my other thoughts about vet rewards now...

1. Make the ethy boura actually "Touch up" able...
2. Stop making rewards for vets and then letting everyone use them... EG. The touch up tool.
3. And actually reward your vets for paying you for so long... I don't mean give me uber staff of smiting I mean give me something neat I can do that others can't. I know not fair but if they had kept their account open for 13+ years they would have the same things... Its not my fault they didn't
4. Consider giving the vets more rewards for older accounts each year... beyond what it is currently 13 year deserve more then we get especially if we were to get a first year... we shouldn't get punished for getting the new vet rewards. Maybe make it a cash in thing one 13 year reward is worth 13 first years... or something... *Shrugs*

Random Ideas for High Level Vet Rewards

• 13th year Moonstone only usable by 13th year vets dyeable with any dye tub. Makes the barriers gates match what ever color the moonstone is. It could also be gated off of to create a one way Moongate, or locked owned and operated though context menus to turn into a permanent one way Moongate in homes.
  Also might make the gates remain open longer? or something else like that...
• When did we add bonding and control slots? how about a vet reward of an item that gives the barrier an extra control slot if the account is old enough mind you for us old timers who lost the ability to have umpteen dragons at once sure we still couldn't do that but we could expand a pack or something...
• Magic Kindling placeable only by 9th year or up or something? with a 15 min cool down creates a instant camp site in an area if the space exists... Placeable Mult? Camp fire log to sit on maybe a tiny tent? or something? perhaps a few styles and sizes... Remains in existence as long as the owner stays within the area keeps monsters out like a house by on all 4 sides? they can still attack with magery or what not obviously and perhaps it wouldn't work on bigger monsters for that. It would still be an instant log place though I'd love to be able to use one of those for story telling events...
• Portable fishing pond? similar to above? but walk on able so it can't be used to block people... so people can socialize easier while fishing...
• with the new boating stuff perhaps it might be possible to give us portable land cannons now? No clue if that doable or not... the art already exists you could even just upgrade current vet rewards for that...
• How about a 13th year reward that's a pair of shoes that gives the wearer an aura of colored light where ever they go and when double clicked or with an on off menu lets them turn night sight on or off... and bestow it o others using there shoes? Preferably dyeable and stylish don't force us to have only one shoe type for those please...
• Something that lets players instantly bond a pet at least once a week maybe more, but then again I don't know why bonding still takes time at all warriors don't have to wait a week to insure their weapons.

Meh, I know I posted this in the Spring Clean Reward thread, but what the heck, I wouldn't care if their Vet rewards either. I just want them!!

I would love love resist footwear, similar to Snake Skin Boots except for sandals, 2% percent of one resist. I refuse to wear any footwear except sandals LOL! I only wear those fur boots on my human tamer just to ride the Cu sidhe .

Also would like to see faction banners similar to the vet Order/Chaos banners

Except with the faction symbol/colors instead. Example CoM light blue banner with the Spellbook Symbol. Shadow Lords light green banner with that bat symbol or whatever. Minax dark red banner with that crow symbol and True Brit's blue/purpleish color with Cross symbol

I really like the idea of Ethy wings.... that's awesome!

I kinda would like to see magic logs that look like wood burning in a fireplace... that would be awesome as an anniversary gift. Something just deco... maybe for Xmas would be better..... call them "Yule logs"..... make a fireplace a real looking fireplace. That would be totally sweet. They could come in all the wood colors... frost would burn blue, Heartwood Green flames, Bloodwood would red flames... etc...

Elephants added to game would be cool..... I always wanted to see Camels they would be a pack animal that takes 2 slots but carries 2.5 times more than a normal pack animal and has way more hp and stamina...

Elephants would be like a mount that you can carry up to 10 people on.... A party bus if it were... You have the new boat system make it like a "land boat"... Maybe it would move slightly slower than a mount but faster than running.


I like the pond idea... though having it as a house add-on would be fine not something you put outside on the ground.


I like the small tent idea for a spot to safely log.


I'd like to see house cannons that WORK... Talk about fun. Let me defend my home from invaders with a working cannon... not just a for show item. That would bring a whole new meaning to Fel house fighting... Maybe it should take a bit longer to load but but it would be fun. In Trammel of course it would work on Warred guilds. That would really make for some super fun RP battles.


How about as an anniversary gift we get a runebook that holds maybe 100 runes?

How about a Vet Reward that would be worth while... A Card box. You can put up to 125 cards in and it counts as one item. By 5 to 10 years you have any idea how many zillions of cards we might have?

As a 10th year reward I'd like to see a set of doors. Placeable in Castles and keeps or where ever in a house.... work like regular doors do... set security access but also have the ability to "add" friends like you can with a pet... add or remove friends... so you could set it to owner only... but let this person in. This way we could create a room at a house and put a door on it.... and grant friend access only to THAT person.... sort of like being able to rent out part of your house.

also speaking of dye tubs how about a metal dye tub for males as well as two-toned boat colors for males maybe even put back in the bugged special dye tubs for cloth.

I actually almost suggested a pond because water tiles suck, cant move through them and so i made myself a tragic pond (tragic remains of the travesty) but i just finished moving mine.. so that was alot of work and it really would be nice if i coulda just used a deed to place a small pond.

The ethy wings sounds cool but my only concern is how very annoying it is when gargoyles stand around flapping their wings while going nowheer. If they would make it so a garg lands when they arent moving and then starts hovering and flapping again when they start movinmg that would be awesome .. and then ethy winsg wold be great but as it is now i would hate to see the number of flapping wings doubled in town or at events.

an all in one dye tub would be cool having the tub choice and ability to change color in a menu gump

flaming logs for a fireplace would be awesome

Portraits would be a great addition to vet rewards

a maid or organizer for what items you have in the house or whole account would be so great. I spent a very long time searching all my chars banks and all the chests in my house trying to find green thorns i could swear i have somewhere. Still havent found them.

House pet is cool. thought would take up a lockdown or vendor slot? Had this vision of a Zoo run amoke. Someone did say something about limiting the number just thoughts to go with it.

My idea.. Tie-Dye dye Tub for clothes.. we have the 2 toned-metal tub.. i would love to dye cloth with it. A rainbow function would be awesome. Probably not really doable tho but cool to think about.(rainbow function)

Obviously this would be impossible for technical reasons, but...

A way to drop the foundation of the plot down to the very ground, so that your house is actually at the level of terrain. It would make houses look more like they are a part of the world. A farmer/gardener type could put a fence around it and make it look like it's actually a part of the landscape, etc.

It would be great . for a Vet reward only usable by Vets of that age To have a rune marker .. you type in the coordinates and it marks your rune for that location. If the location is a place you cant recall to because it's water.. then you could give the tillerman the recall rune and he'll sail there.

Nothing New Needed, simply give Players completing at least one but not more than 3 years paid play an extra Vet Reward; those with at least 37 months but not more than 72 months 2 extra choices; those with at least 73 months but not more than 108 months 3 extra choices; and those with 109 months or more 4 extra choices from the existing list of Vet Rewards: and those with 147 or more months or more 5 extra choices from the existing list of Veteran Rewards.

I would like a statuette of an octopus. In honor of all the time I've spent fishing and listening to my chatty pilot / tillerman carrying on and on about a dull story about some wench turning into an octopus.

If left up to me, it would be dyable and come in 2 sizes, chosen by the player. Much like the Nutcracker's from Christmas. You can get a large one or a smaller one.

I have a suggestion, though this came to me at Halloween, and would (I guess) be most useful for Trick-or Treating...
I would like to see a vendor-like person who would stand at your doorstep (or in your house) and would distribute one item randomly from his pack to anyone saying "trick-or-treat" (or "Gee what a nice house" or "GOD, I need a drink!" or whatever). We could then load him with candy and goodies, and one or two nice things. It would need to limit by either character or account so someone could not just come up and take it all (just one now...leave some for the other little ghosts and witches), and be refillable and somewhat mod-able by the owner. This could help in letting us create a player-driven experience at Halloween, along with some of the recent fun game-driven events.
