Suggestion for new Veteran rewards[Soulstone dye tub]

I have 21 soulstones.
acc1: 16
acc2: 4
acc3: 1

and additional 3 identified as alien.
In addition to that 8 soulstone fragments belong to 1,2 or 3.


In this mess i spent alot of time identifying which soulstone that belong to what account.
Ofcourse all these were in 3 different colours, green, blue and red.

So what Id like as my 132month vet reward would be: A soulstone dye tub.

According to UOs website for Veteran rewards theres only up to 120 month.

Anyone agree/disagree or have other suggestions?

I just keep my soulstones in the house that belongs to that account. Based on all that's going on now and not going on, I'd say your chances of getting a dye tub for soulstones would be pretty low on the list.

Personally I don`t think vet rewards should give out more than deco items or something along those lines. Theres alot of peaple who used to play before but for whatever reason,don`t have the original account they started with now.

At the very least they should offer all vet rewards to anyone who wants to buy them for cash at uo.com. Than it wouldn`t matter cause all (most) would have access to the nice things everyone should be able to enjoy.

I`ve been in and out of UO 3 times in 12 years, everytime with a new account. Sucks I can`t even use a leather tub yet. Thats just wrong IMO.

Don`t get me wrong,long time payers should get a lil something extra but it shouldn`t be something that leaves the masses out.

I mean really.... wtf do I care about 10-11-12 year rewards? Think I`ll ever get them? 8 more years and 2 months I`ll be able to use 10 year rewards.....can`t freekin wait! Vet rewards should go the way of the Dodo....reward ALL payers that are playing this game.

BTW I love the SS dye tub idea,but it should not be a vet reward only type item.

Make "Soulstone dye" a craftable item using some really special ingredients (along the line of the SA stains) - maybe you have to use alchemy to grind precious gems to get dye color of the gem (pearls yield white, etc). Could make these dye/stains work on soulstones, ss frags, and vet statues (or currently undyable items. Just an idea...

I agree with you! I think that would be a cool addition. My only thing is that other issues need looking into first (the chat system) Other than that, I think it's a great idea.

I like this idea. I think the more stuff that requires a crafter to be involved in will only benefit the game.

wow, that's a terrible and gaudy idea. but i do like the idea of a soulstone dye tub. the best thing about leather dye tubs, runebook dye tubs, etc. is that even though there is an age limit you can always get someone else to dye it your items for you. this ensures that both the veterans get their nifty reward, and everyone can enjoy the end result!

Yes... BOXES are a terrible Idea... Organization... is a terrible idea. Solving problems without adding more items to the game, terrible idea.

The organization argument in this case has no merit in my opinion because the overriding benefit here is to have soulstones of different colors.

Roleplaying wise, I could imagine a bunch of different events I could run where finding the oddly colored soulstone would be the quest the players would have to undertake. It would also benefit those who collect soul stones and soulstone fragments from IDOCs.

Having said that, I would still probably take house teleporters over a soulstone dying tub.

Your argument has no merit, read what I was replying to, maybe then you'll understand. The person I was replying to said putting soul stones in boxes to organize them is a "Terrible and gaudy idea." Organization does have merit in response to that, perhaps you should slow down on how fast you read stuff because you apparently skipped a couple paragraphs there sparky.

I wouldn't mind a soulstone dye tub, but since a soulstone is available as a 1st year reward a dye tub for the same should be no more than a 2nd yr reward. 13 yr is just way too overboard.

I don't know about ya'll but I have alot of accounts with alot of soulstones. It's all good until I try to move, then things get all screwy and I have check which stones go to what account (yes I could engrave the box,bag or whatever but I have not) To be able to stain them with the new stains, dye them with a new dye tub, or WHATEVER...I think it is a good idea. Not only that, if you notice when people sell "used idoc soulstones" on a vendor they say "deco only" Now who wants to deco everything with red, green and blue? (not this pink and purple lovin' chick) I agree with the OP.
