Strength vs. Dex

Which is more important on a warrior? Right now my swordsman is maxed out in strength, with about 90 dex, and the rest of his stat points in intelligence. I've noticed my heals take 5 seconds each time, if I were to dump more points into dex my heal time would go down, but would that ruin my damage output? I can live with slow heals if it means each hit will cause more damage, but if it won't hurt my damage to lower my str, I'd rather have the faster heals.

Any advice?

I don't know what the forumla is for Str as far as how it applies to damage, but I do know that if you're dex is higher, you're swinging faster, thus hitting more often, which causes more damage than what having higher Str would. You'd be much better off putting points into Dex to get it to 125 (140 min for 4 sec heals), 150 being the max and the goal you should be shooting for.

With how things are playing out right now, I just hear over and over max out DEX on most any warrior. Though correct me if I'm wrong, but I also hear there is somewhat of a DI bonus when STR hits 100?

depends on your template but most go for swing speed over damage per hit.

By having more stamina from dex you can swing a ornate like a katana lol, if you have a toe to toe warrior i would go 150 stam, but a lancer can go with lower dex and capped str.

Higher dex is more important than higher strength, both for the faster heals and the faster swings. You do more damage over time with 150+ stamina and 90 strength than you would with 150 strength and 90+ stamina.

According to the stratics damage calculator, it's a 30% difference in damage per second for the best weapon available at each stat range.

You can drink a greater strength potion if you want a temporary boost. Drink a greater Agility while you're at it too. Gives +20. Enhance potion items will boost it even more.
It's a pain, but works.

You can also eat one of the Trinsic Rose petals for a boost in strength.

Remember you can gain 21 str and 20dex by using jackals collar, crimmy, Spirit of totem and primer (or 11str and 25 dex if use the mace and shields)

And depending on your template u could just every few minutes put on a ecru for 50% pot enhance so when u chug a dex and str pot u can 30 in each. so then if u wore spirit of totem and primer then u will have 99 str +( 30 from pot, 20 from spirit, 1 from primer)=150 str, then for dex 115 dex + pot + crimson = 150. i would only say that cuz jackals is non med so will not do wonders for your mana. if you have 99 str and 115 dex, leaving 41 int. this is 61 mana, unless u ahve stats on ur jewels as well =P making u 150 str, 150 dex, and at LEAST 41 int

just my oppinion though =p

go for max dex and use DI and HPI items. Reason is, you can improve damage in a number of ways (DI, Tactics, Anatomy, Str), but there's only two ways to increase swing rate, SSI and Dex.

I think it really comes down to what kind of weapons you use. On my archer all I really care about is dex/stam inc (182) so I can shoot my xbow fast. On a fencer I'd worry a little less about dex.

In the end and in a perfect world you want high in all stats. I really don't recommend PvPing with less than 120 HPs, but you also need the mana pool to do offensive damage. At the same time you want 150 stam for bandies. I'm usually more inclined to go more offense heavy on dexers/archers, since you can just run and heal.
