Stratics go booom?

For the past two hours I could not get on Stratics. I kept getting a message from cloudfire that the site was down and here's a snapshot of the site instead.

1st UO, then Stratics.. is the whole internet going down next?!?!

I've definitely had more instances of Stratics forums being down since they went to Cloudflare.

After not being on this site for 4+ years I didn't want to come and out start complaining right away. But during the past two weeks of being back, the site's performance has been terrible. I don't think I've seen a page load faster than 30seconds and 1 min+ has been very common.

I have a 20Mbit cable internet that loads absolutely everything else I browse in under 1s.

Stratics has always been an extremely slow loader..

I just figured it was something to do with their location.. it can be maddening.

And I have an extremely fast connection as well.

Stratics was experiencing occasional downtimes prior to CloudFlare. The problem has to do with our servers, not a proxy service. If you take a moment and read the error message, it simply says that the site is down and CloudFlare is unable to support a cached version of the forums. This is because forum content is too dynamic to cache.

We are aware of the problems. It's in our fullest interest to fix them as swiftly and permanently as possible. As a team of volunteers, we're doing our best.
