Strange wolf

In Ter Mur ì've found strange wolves. Some of them have red write over the head. I've killed some of them ( not only the the one ut also the white) and i've found the leather wolf skin ( but it seems like ball of cotton beige) and a reflective wolf eye.
What are they?
There not a quest, isn't it?
And what i have to do with leather ( the ball of cotton) and the eye?

Reflective Wolf Eye is for imbuing "Reflect Physical Damage" on armor.

The leather wolf skin is a quest item quest item.
