And from the deep dark bowels of the abysmal dungeon a voice loud and filled with fetid anger rang out across the worlds above... "Leave my lands scum of the earth or feel the wrath of my glory upon your world" the words seemed to vibrate through all the forests and valleys of the earth and land solid at the doors of the defenders homes.

Words were frozen on stunned lips as those words were heard. Shattered windows lay silent upon cold floors. Frightened glances scanned the rooms at others looking back. Men and women alike would gather swords, spears and other weapons of the warriors trade as silent glances of love and fear landed on those they planned to defend. Not a word spoken, not a word was returned all seemed drained of life yet alive with hope.

The gathering had begun. Warriors, tamers, mages all gathered around the main gates to each of the kingdoms of the upper worlds as emmissaries went out to look for those scattered through out the lands with a message of the doom that had been heard. Armies rallied and stood in waited for that which would regrettably unfold.

The Evil of the lands spring forth from the abyss and crawls silently forward unseen, with each step taken by this abysmal horror only death was left in it's place. A lingering stench would be left behind as it slowly and calculating moved slowly toward it's goal. What was it's goal one might ask, what could have angered the demons of the abyss so much that they would leave the darkness to seek out the intruders. No one knew as yet and perhaps no one would ever know until it was far too late.

The assemblies of the upper worlds stood in wait, each one deep in thought of what had bought this peril upon them. Not one word was spoken of it. Silence was deafening as they stood guard at the kingdom's gates. The fear in everyones eyes was plain to see and as each looked upon the other faces would turn away, once in a while a tear of pain escaped. No it was not fear for themselves that lay upon those eyes but fear for their world and those they loved.

Deep in the dungeon of the abyss one magnificent figure stood alone looking out over his domain. The talons on the tip of his feet sharpened by smooth stone took hold of his perch. His slimmering wings spread wide glimmered in the darkness as he took flight. Piercing eyes surveyed his lands as he traveled from place to place. He seemed to be searching as the the sound of his passing was heard by all below. What did this magestic being seek?

Anger rumbled deep with in the beast, the anger of years helped captive within his soul. The anger filled his heart as he looked upon his lands so barren of life. He had roared those words unthinking, he had felt the fear in man's hearts as his voice had traveled it's path in the upper world. His eyes seemed to dim slightly as he now thought over his decree and seeked a way to undo the harm he had done. He shook off anyfeelings of regret and screetched so loud that the sound rumbled trough the ground below as well as that above. The meaning of his call was heard by the Evil upon the lands. Simply statedit was meant for it to return.

The Evil that had invaded the world above slowly retreated unseen, seeping back into the abyss. The feeling of dread in thoseabove however..remained. The armies of the lands above seemed to take a slow breath of relief but remained guarded. All would wonder why the threat had come and even more wonder why it had retreated so silently. For now, it was gone, one day perhaps it would return. The reasons behindthe intrusion remained unknown to all except one. The Styngin Dragon Stood silent below looking out over his lands a look of sadness in his glowing red eyes.

Was there a hint of jealousy in those eyes? Could it be that the dragon wanted more to come to his lands? Or did he seek to escape his underworld prison by any means possible? Perhaps in time the world would discover the thoughts of the manificent beast that ruled the underworld. Until then adventures into the abyss would travel to and fro always weary of the dangers that would befall them on their journeys.

Darkness seeps through the walls of an ancient abandoned city deep within the Abyss, East and West divided by a circular temple called the Chamber of Virtues. It is in this chamber a lone figure stands waiting for the unsuspecting traveler. Eyes red with fury, his breath hot like the streams of lava which flow through the dismal underground world the demonic beast waits.

One might wonder where this beast came from, who could have possibly created such a deadly creature. In the far Distance the Stygian Dragon watches his domain always concious of the beast who now dwelled in the lost city.

Reading late into the night the ancient scriptures I came upon several passages reguarding a beast in the Abyss. It would seem the creature was summoned from where such creatures dwell by two mighty wizards of old named Tyball and Garamon.

Wheather they planned to do so or not is of no consequence for it does not matter now. Try as they would they could not send it back to where it came from and in the end it would destroy them both. It is written that the beast, Slasher of Veils, once summoned entered Tyball's mind and presuaded him to kill his brother Garamon.

Intrigued as always of the unknown I traveled to see this abomination for myself. After countless hours of travel and narrow escapes from death to smaller creatures of the abyss I came upon the deserted City of the Abyss. The city was currently inhabited by smaller creatures, several fire demon dogs and the Bane Dragon.

I skirted the city and headed for the Chamber of Virtue not really knowing what to expect luckily I had planted my Silver Sappling Seed at some distance from this evil place. I traveled silently and cautiously forward. Suddenly I was frozen in place with no means of escape and before me stood the Slasher of Veils, his cold bloodred eyes locked on me as if he could feel into my very soul.

Time seemed to stand still as I cursed myself for having traveled to this place alone. He took one step then another toward me as my mind screamed in anguish for release from his hold. Closer and closer he came and just when I thought I would perish the demon's hold lifted and with a speed I did not know I possessed I backed away just as his clawed hands reached to take hold.

The smell of his rotten breath seemed to linger on me. Just when I thought I had escaped the demon's howl of anger seemed to freeze me once more. But this was different then before I could still heal though unable to move otherwise. Yet again before he reached me I was released. I tried fighting the beast to no avail while he spit firey flames toward me. It was constant movement I could not sit in place for fear of the paralyzing sensations taking hold while too close to the beast.

I backed away far enough to lose sight of this interesting being. A creature out of his time and place. Wheather it was fear or anger that drove him on I did not know but surely fear was the last thing I associated with the Deamon of the Abyss. One day I vowed to return and attempt to slay this beast and I would not come back alone of this I was sure.

I could hear the howls of anger as I traveled away from the Chamber of Virtue no longer fearing the minor minions of the Abyss. How I had survived this encounter I did not know I held my musical instrument in my hand realizing for the first time I had hold of it and I wondered if that may have spared my life.

As I move further away I heard a screech yet it sounded more like laughter coming from somewhere. It seemed to vibrate all around me as if coming from all directions at once. I wondered if whatever had caused that sound (laughter) had been watching my useless battle with Slasher of Veils. If he had been my futile attempts to kill the beast was indeed reason to laugh. Thinking this, I myself chuckled a bit too, as I moved toward the opening out of the Abyss and headed for the safety of my home.

The dark shadows of nightfall spread across the land as the moon raises into the pitch black starlit skies. A shimmering wall of moving waves flow gently down the river beds headed out toward open sea. The soft gentle breeze kisses each petal of the night flowers filled with dew and moves quietly across slumbering land. Far, far, below within the volcano's mouth all the beauty of the upper world goes unseen by all of those who dwell below. Yet deep down in the solemn darkness of the Abyss there are many wonders to behold.

Adventures travel past the demon guarded gate into the darkness in search of rich rewards. Moving past flowing crimson rivers of lava and blacken rock rumors of a Serpent Queen are whispered among the weary travelers as they go about their careful search. Past firey creatures that love to give chase, up and around toward the winding serpent guarded path they go. Silver Serpents and coral snakes are but two of the reptilian horde that guard the Lady's Domain. Adventurer and warriors alike would do good to take heed a snakechammer's flute they would need to gather that needed to gain entrance to this watchful Lady's Lair.

The winding path opens to a small treacherous clearing filled with many of the reptillian army each small and not so small creature scurrying toward the invaders unsuspecting side. In the far distance an inviting bridge stands the entrance to the Lady's Domain. Two menacing figures stand on each side the Maddening Horrors lay in wait with necromany powers at their finger tips while the Hydra rears up and hisses shooting streams of deadly vemon toward its prey.

Adventures and warriors alike gather the egg like keys to place upon the altar seeking entrance to the Lady's chambers all the while mindful of the dangers they have witnessed. Within the chamber the Lady stands gathering her minions for the upcoming battle against the latest invasion to her lands. One by one the keys are placed until the last opens the gate and walking through, the last thing heard was the laughter of the Styngin Dragon as he sits high upon his throne ever watchful and alone.

Within the chamber all is silent the Lady hidden taking measure of her foe, before summoning her frozen minons and appearing on the floor. The arena is set the fight commences to the death as poison arrows from her bow rain upon the invaders. The battle moves on some frozen by the Lady's gaze others fighting images of themselves, the raging battle continues to the end. Those who have read the scripters were enlightened on ways to avoid the paralyzing effects of her stare those who had not suffer the consequences of death.

After a long and tiring battle the Lady lays dead upon the chamber floor to the victor goes the spoils. Within her corpse several prizes wait unless you find the special gift within your pack. Nonetheless the battle ended and its time for bed. The battle with Medusa this time was victorious but this will not always be true especially for the unprepared. In another dimension another battle lives on. The travelers tired of battle look upon each other with a weary smile upon their lips knowing the journey home will not be easy but a hint of pride at their victory can not be missed as they leave the chamber and out of the underworld dungeon called the Abyss.

The night grows cold and dark as silver-lined clouds move in front of the moon. The wind howls through the trees as you slowly walk alone down the lonely road lost and confused as everything seems the same in the darkness. Suddenly in the distant horizon you can see steep towers that could just be made out as the moon comes peeking through the clouds. You set a slow pace toward the looming castle that seems was painted against the midnight sky. As You near, you can hear the sounds of music on the lips of the breeze, the haunting melody of the dead, it's morbid eerie sound would make almost anyone shiver with premonition and caution; Or maybe a hint of dread? But you are not afraid .. and you keep walking toward the castle intrigued.

As you approach you can make out a very faint light, at first you think you were mistaken then you know it is there, because you can see it through a partly open window as you move closer. You step up to the tall gates that lurk up into the darkness, you take them in hand grasping them tightly and pull them open. As you pull them open, the hinges seems to scream in protest as if they had not been opened in more then a hundred years. The sound so loud it echos in the silence of night and makes you want to cover your ears. Then you quickly realize that in reality it is the normal sound of iron gates opening nothing more.

You glance up toward the castle looming up into the cloudy night sky, it's massive form almost intimidating as you press onward through the dark courtyard to the door. The door...dark wood weathered with age it is an ancient place that has been here for many centuries untouched. Upon the door is a adorned knocker that is of a beast feared throughout the ages, a vampire. Yet you have no fear as you place your hand upon it and as you do .. you feel something sharp as it breaks the skin and you pull back quickly to observe the damage. Your gaze falls on the knocker once more and see the blood on the pointed fang of the beast-like ornament. You stand there contemplating your next move, deep in thought, as the door slowly swings open and there before your eyes, in the dark entrance, stands the Lady of the Castle.

You can hear a soft whisper in your head and you wonder, did it come from her mouth? You are not sure and yet a sound seems to be enchanting almost begging you look upon her eyes as you hear it ... "Good Evening M'lord.. Do come in and enjoy your stay.." The softness of her words drawing you further inside as she pulls the door open wider and steps aside to let you by. Your mind in a fury of activity and questioning asks, "Will I enter or turn around and walk away .?" As if all will had been taken from you you walk hesitantly inside and the door behind you closes forevermore. The low soft laughter of victory passes though ruby red lips as the Lady of the Castle guides you all the way into her dark domain.

Man is curious by nature, needless to say that would be two fold for a women. She stood looking out the window into the vast wilderness around her home and wondered what to do with her life in this new land she had come to. At times she considered returning to her lands life would be much more simple if she did, but then she always thrived on adventure and there was something in these lands that held her captive. Since her arrival she had met many good people who had gone out of their way to help her and many others new to the lands. This alone held her here.

She sighed a soft whisper of a sigh and smiled thinking "Yes she would stay." at least for a while longer. She picked up her gear, nothing more then a bed roll and some bandages, a few pieces of cheese and bread for nourishment and a container filled with cool water for thirst and headed for the doorway. She had heard of a Giant Spider living deep within the underworld and she had decided to investigate as usual. She paused for a moment knowing he would need help on this particular quest of hers yet there was no one to ask to accompany her at the moment so she stopped at the stable for one of her pets wondering all the time if she would return. As her companion she choose the dreat dragon, Vermithrax Pejorative, her favorite of all. She had named him this after the last of the dragons from another world, a dragon that demands sacrifices from the people of Urland. She looked upon her pet and ran her hand across his scaly skin then patted it once or twice before whispering a small prayer to the gods that would listen asking for their help on her perilous journey and headed out toward the entrance to the underworld.

The entrance to the underworld had it's own gaurds, a few demons and dragons who religiously guarded the entrance, but these were no match for her mighty dragon she had trained him well and in no time was the entrance cleared and she passed though the gate into the darkness below a slight shiver ran though her as she did so. A sense of dread filled her as she walked toward the hidden door way on the east wall opening it slowly hoping not to attract to much attention from the guarding worms that seemed to dwell closeby. Slipping through fairly unseen she headed north toward the sparkling gate and jumpped in and dropping down just before the spiral stairwell that lead to the Abyss, no she would not travel there today not just yet. From where she stood she traveled north then east over the bridge past the goblins mages and more always viligant and of every step she took knowing that if she were not careful she would perish alone. At the next passage she headed north once more a few goblins insisting on attention which her dragon soon quelched. She came to a broken piece of wall and stepped through dragon in tow and met the wolf spider head on much to her surprise.

The wolf spider was not kind taking half her life in one bite. She managed to conceal herself just in time and let the dragon handle the small but treacherous creatures. After a few moments she moved on turning the corner headed west then north then west once more. At the end of the passage she came to a little cubby hole to the north and decided to investigate that as well. Much to her suprise she had come to an oasis in the middle of this death. A small wishing well if you would. Rare beauty in the middle of all the darkness, she sat upon a rock and reste4d for a bit a small smile upon her lips thinking this land was indeed interesting.

After what seemed like a day she stood and looked toward the south from where she stood. She could make out more spiders and even a silver beetle of a sort she had never seen. She slowly headed that way making use of her invisibility cloak here and there to avoid being targeted by the small deadly creatures that seemed to guard the pass. Past one last bridge she fought her way toward the hole at the end of the small pass she was in one more deadly spider barring her way but she had moved so fast toward the drop in hole she had not stopped to investigate it too well. She dropped into a large cavern and stood silently and still waiting to see what unfolded.

As she stood there her vison adjusted to the darkness and she could now see the large cavern before her. She took one step then another gazing all around for the creature rumored to dwell in this cavern, a creature so rare there was not another like it in the lands to her knowledge. She came to the center of the cavern and her gaze traveled all around and suddenly fell upon the horrid creature that called this cavern her domain. Much to her surprise and good luck the creature seemed to be caught in the rocks and though it tried to move toward her it could not. Perhaps the gods had listened to her pleas she thought as she laughed slightly deciding to take advantage of this situation. Another glance to the trapped spider she went from one corner of the cavern to another inspecting the pillars on each of the three corners. She noticed the pillars had a secret panel and pressed one to see what would happen, moved to another and did the same. Standign there in thought she concluded that each of the three pillar panels must be pressed at the same time. She then remembered what she had learned from the scriptures she had read long before.

She remembered reading that if the three panels were pressed at once a rain of rocks would fall on the Spider and all those close to it helping the would be attacker in destroying the large deadly spider slowly. Of course it would take more then one such task to destroy this particular creature. It was written that you could use these panels several times during the battle. She looked once more toward the menacing spider finally recalling it's name. The infamous spider of the underworld, the treacherous creature that would web you and devour your soul along with your body was named Navrey. She realized it would take more then herself and her dragon to defeat this great creature and she wondered if any others would join in her quest. She would seek out other adventurers and return one day. For now she would thank the gods for her good fortune at finding the spider trapped. One last look around the cavern was given before she headed toward to opening that would lead the way back out of this treacherous land into the world above.

Her perilous journey seemed to last only moments this time for now she knew what she would meet on the way. She knew already that the return trip to the entrance of the underworld would hold even more deadly creatures especially in the rooms of the undead but her mind was focused on the spider and ways of defeating it instead. One way or another she had made it through and stood silently in her home once more. She would seek out others who wished to battle the Mighty Navrey and return to the cavern one day. For now she would rest her tired body and mind and feed her pets. It had been a long journey and she was glad it was at an end. A sigh of satisfation passed her lips as she headed for bed, plans and plots running rampid in her head. Tomorrow was another day for now she would rest.

Early morning teardrops of dew settling on open petal arms, as the sweet scent of nectur draws the butterfly upon the opening blossoms bathed in morning's shimmering sunlight. A spider's webs glissen in the morning's light as the soft song of feathered creatures sings the day's lullaby. All things were as they should be this one sunny morning, all things of beauty on this one summer's day. Beneath all the wonders of the lands bathed in warmth a low menacing rumble began slowly to grow.

A slight tremble was felt by all those above, the scrurring creatures looked up toward the sun. The flowers enjoying the morning sunlight seem to tremble along with the rumble from far far below. The skies slowly darkened as winged creatures that took flight, seeming to know what was coming from the lands far below. The breath of the day had came to a complete stop, as all that had reveled in the beauty of morning felt the sudden protest that could only bring death.

The rumble became louder, the lands seemed to shift, the flowers sunk deeper as if hiding their gift. The sounds all around them screamed their warning to all, run, run little creatures be safe before nightfall. Looking up toward the mountain that shadowed the valley below, a cloud of dark billowing smoke began to grow. The lands screamed in protest the assault they had felt as a bright glow of fire surrounded the mountain peak.

Rivers of fire began to stream down the mountain side, their path unforgiving toward the valley below. All manner of creature began haste and they scurried away from what now laid is waste. The flowers all lost in the firey blaze, the once sweet scent of the breeze now was filled with a dark sufferous haze.

The once bright sunny morning not so long before was now a dark firey blaze of death and more. The smell of death was all around, the bodies lay here and there on scronned ground. No more did the weather creature sing a joyful song they now sang in sorrow of all that was lost. The haze of sunlight slowly dimmed as nightfall covered the land and lost it's gleem. From far beneath the last of the firey flow slowed the end was near for all to know.

The hazey skies began to clear and night time stars lit up the darken skies. The night time breeze began to slowly drive away the sufferous scent of death and deciet and the lands once more settled back down in defeat. The golden moonlight filled the skies promising once more a new beginning for those left behind. Silence fell upon the valley below as all manner of substance began to grow. As if given an order all began to heal awaiting the new day and all the beauty that it would reveal.

As early morning dawns on the valley below, all manner of creature looked up toward the mountain now silent with new found respect, not knowing what would happen or what to expect. The shimmering sunlight bathed the land with it's healing warmth, because after all it was just as it should be, another beautiful sun-filled day once more.

I do READ MINDS and psychoanalise em all too.

A QZ post means some few folks with the attention span of a peanut, whom maybe can only TEXT on their phones nowadays things as lengthy as LOL STFU OMG and so forth, 'abbrevtext' may become all they fathom or have patience to deal with. Ya know some of them few folks whom never had to read WAR & PEACE,
Tale of Two Citeis, in highschool, nor would they, unless it was on a 'cribsheet version' or texted down to 3 letters summation for short attention spanding impatient texting generation.

Some few folks these days of the texting generation, even text standing next to the person they could actually speak TO.

Reminds me of the evolutionary chart I have seen of primates evolving to man, devolving back to primates.

Soon humankinds' only form of acceptable communication processes, will be chimpanzee screeches.
