Stealth question

Okay apparently according to the description none of the forums are for discussing hiding or stealth, so I'm posting this here.

I know that you only require 75 stealth for it to work while you are wearing mediable gear.

But let's say you're not wearing mediable gear - how high does stealth have to be for it to not fail?

I'm considering some wood armor (for enhanced resists), jackal's collar, and other things and would like to know how high I'll need stealth to be for it to not fail and reveal me. ?

As a stealther, I only use medable gear, so I've never had to worry about using non-medable armors or what the bare minimum was to not fail in that circumstance.

I decided to do some reading:

Also, you will fail if you wear too much heavy armor.

I'm asking because there are 2 nice non mediable items a stealth archer might want... Jackal's Collar and Insane Legs of the Tinker.

I could logon to test and work the skill up by wearing those 2 and see where the skill ends up at but that would take a good while.

Was hoping someone knew how much extra stealth would be needed per non-mediable gear piece.

I wear the jackals on one of my stealth guys and his is at 80 and never comes out of stealth earlier than expected. I have no idea what adding the tinkers legs would do.

I am curious as to why working up a skill on test takes "a good while" ?

Make stealth 850 ..... Hide & walk... observe what happens and adjust from there. Seems like it would be less than 10 minutes once you char was created and equipped. So maybe 20 minutes top for everything.

If you decide to spend some time on test and find out, let us know so what the results were.
