Hopefully ... So will be james ..I really don't care, but i'm glad i'm in before the lock
ooooh, Me Too!I really don't care, but i'm glad i'm in before the lock
Well there is a simple fix.... Give a new dead line or a video.wow im getting sick of the same threads over and over.
Why should this be locked? I asked a legitimate question that deserves an answer. If this thread gets locked, another one will inevitably get created. Don't blame the posters for something that the devs could easily address.I really don't care, but i'm glad i'm in before the lock
meh!Logrus has posted to Stratics twice today, 'James' has posted to the Herald.
So, we know there are signs of life at Mythic. It would be nice to see a sign of true professionalism now...
And a video is important because why?Logrus also posted in the warrior forum on Friday, the day where every other dev was conspicuously silent.
Hence why I had 'James,' indicating the unknown nature of the true poster. However, like most corporate structures, sharing passwords is against IT policies (regardless of how inconsequential the protected system is..)meh!
unknown who has access to james local password ...
I care less about the video and more about the fact that their communication is god-awful and they can't stick to a deadline for ****.And a video is important because why?
Lets see.
blah we are working on. Blah blah. Will be great. Blah blah blah.
WHEN it is done 50% will say it sucks. 50% will love it. And someone will complain they are nerfing their bread and butter.
I will read between the lines and scarfy up the stygian dragon heads. HINT. And go back to building my vendor mall.
Yeah, it's going to suck when the WAR players are shown a video saying they are going to xxxx whatever that people don't like, and we all go...It is quite obvious that mythic is overloaded.... the ultima online side of things have been side tracked or sure with the release from bioware stating they have pulled the team to start working on the web based (not lord of ultima garbage) ultima rpg.. as stated back in oct ( here Half-cocked rant lets Ultima project details slip | Ultima Aiera )
just not enough monkeys workin the banana patch anymore..
And yet so many people keep their accounts open despite this, they mistreat you guys and girls because they know you aren't going anywhere, if you were going somewhere you would have by now.The team has their fingers in many places. Too bad none of those fingers are on UO, and instead being used to wave one single middle finger at the playerbase.
Maybe people are tired of sub par services now days. Companies across the world have gone belly up for performing these same type of low standard services. What does someone start a thread on this subject every day.... give it a rest already....
See, while I completely agree with this, I actually want to continue playing UO. If enough of us did this, especially those holding multiple accounts, eventually UO would cease to be profitable and it would go bye-bye.So basically stop voicing complaints to people who clearly don't care about you, and start voicing it with your wallet. Let these chumps know you demand a higher standard of service the hard way.
Did so just over a year ago now.So basically stop voicing complaints to people who clearly don't care about you, and start voicing it with your wallet. Let these chumps know you demand a higher standard of service the hard way.
Perhaps then players with multiple accounts should shut down 1/2 their accounts for 2 months. Your houses wouldn't fall and they'd be out revenue. If nothing else, a definite message is sent.See, while I completely agree with this, I actually want to continue playing UO. If enough of us did this, especially those holding multiple accounts, eventually UO would cease to be profitable and it would go bye-bye.
I think that enough of us don't want that to happen. It’s a catch 22. Damned if we do, damned if we don't.
I think it's more important to be realistic about the situation, what is more likely that you keep paying into a system that is screwing you over, or that the devs suddenly wake up for no apparent reason and start listening to customers they have been neglecting for a long time?See, while I completely agree with this, I actually want to continue playing UO. The problem is, no matter how big a fan I am of the game, or indeed that I do want to see it stay alive, I reached a point where I decided it just wasn't worth the money.See, while I completely agree with this, I actually want to continue playing UO. If your question was sincere, which given the rest of your post I doubt it was, this is my personal answer. And a video is important because why?
Because we were promised a decision on the classic shard debate by the end of 2010, which came and went, followed by an update that they wanted to explain their decision in detail as part of a "State of the Game" video. That video was expected in January, then promised to be made available last week, which once again came and went. The video is important because I want to hear that decision. None of us asked for a video, but EA made the video important to many of us by wrapping the classic shard decision into it.And a video is important because why?
Of course it's an individual choice when it comes to spending money, it's just a question of what kind of personal standard you keep for yourself. I closed my accounts long ago for different reasons, and I have personally never regretted the decision.Personally, if I wasn't getting some level of entertainment/enjoyment out of UO - even in its present condition - I would have packed up long ago.
While I detest the level of Customer (Dis)Service, communication, apathy and general disrespect that p(l)ayers are shown on a continual basis; that honestly doesn't directly affect what I get out of the actual game experience itself. Now, I readily admit, that’s a fine-line distinction to make, and is completely my choice.
Oh, believe me, I am fed up - but I still like UO itself, still enjoy playing. Just check my post history, when Mythic does something patently stupid, releases a half-assed shoddy patch/booster, doesn't pay a lick of attention to their beta testers, etc, I happily take them task for it.But if these issues don't bother you that much then good for you, I'm mostly talking to people who are fed up yet continue to pay.
A yes or no wouldn't do it for me.Seems like most people here do not really care about the video, they just want a straightforward Yes or No which was promised by the end of last year, and would only take 20 seconds to type and post.
Deluge James_Mythic with pm's regarding this concern. I see he is currently online. I wrote him.
As a senior moderator... I would not encourage this approach.
To take the immediate concerns of the p(l)ayer base, communicate that this needs to be addressed ASAP, and then post something to the effect of:Do you really think James can make that call?
I defend the team where it's appropriate, to the point that I'm accused of loving everything they do. I have repeatedly talked about the positive signs, I've praised the server upgrades, etc.Ya know. In real life I am a boss. I have crew that answers to me. There are things I pay them to do, and things they are not allowed to do.
I also have a boss. I answer to him and carry out his directions.
He has a boss too. So on and so forth.
My staff is fully empowered to do the things with in their scope of responsibilities, as am I. So on and so forth.

You might be totally oblivious, but 'the top' is currently ignoring us.Brow beating my sauté chef about the menu choices is not a productive use of time. If you want a menu change go to the top.
Right, as a customer I'd go to the Maître d’. It is that position’s responsibility to ensure the guest has an enjoyable meal and to ultimately convey messages to the chefs.Brow beating my sauté chef about the menu choices is not a productive use of time. If you want a menu change go to the top.
