Starting a Siege Thief tonight, template advise

hi all,

Decided i would bite the bullet and start a thief on Siege, i have played mainly prouction shards so not sure what temp to go with,

Any ideas guys??

My advice is work your stealing, hiding stealth snoop...you will have alot of time to decide on the other skills...check the sticky on myth busting for siege about ROT

Need to know your preferences to game play. Do you run when you steal, or do you prefer to steal, then play thug and try to kill your mark when they come after you?

To start with...

120 Stealing
100 Snoop
100 Hide
80 Stealth

Nobody let's you just walk up to them and stand close enought to snoop, especially if they have something stealable in their pack.

Everything else will need to be determined based on how you like to play...la

I sould imagine i will just focus on staying alive to start off so i am thinking resist for deffo, magery, and can you have ninja on siege?

Yes you can have all the skills of prodo shards...its pretty much the same just an all fel ruleset and a different gains system.

Now i know my stuff with ROT, i can see my char taking a while to complete

The fun part tho, is rather than just grinding out gains for hours on end, once you hit ROT you can just gain through play. thats what ive been doing and youll be surprised what skills gain fastest!

excellent. went on last night but was late and just went into wilderness training hiding... but i will be stong soon... stronger than... oh wait, no i will be a running hiding sneaky little pancake... wouldn't have it any other way

You may wish to look into joining NEW...gives you a bit of an easy button for your first 30 days on Siege. Get some free scrolls, and some armor to help train.

The other thingyou want to do now...run around and look for the farming spots on the shard...that's where you will find people outside of Luna, lol...la

Bringing the later clarification to this thread.

NEW will accept thieves in training, however NEW does not allow pvp of any kind, including thieving from players. Thieves willing to delay that part of their activities till after they leave NEW will be welcome.

It's kind of funny that RichDC said that. As I was grinding out BS gains, I was skimming though the fourms and came across this thread. It hit me like a ton of bricks, here I am trying to go 120 in smith, when it doesn't matter like it used to. So I hit my goal and currently creating a toon on Siege. Don't know if he'll be a thief or not, but you never know

Having a lot of fun playing my thief, there are pleanty of marks around if you know where to look, i have been lucky enough to be given a few blessed items, as long as you don't mind getting killed a lot to begin with!
