Spring Décor Collection - Navigator's World Map

I recently purchased a Navigator's World Map after reading that it could be used to plot ship courses. I thought this would be nice to just sit back and let the tillerman figure out how to get places.

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to make it work. When I double-click on the map it is merely bright-blue and empty. Do I need cartography to make it work? How do I make it work? Thanks!

There was a post not long back, almost identical to this one. Apparently you need to plot a course on the map, then hand it to the tillerman. He'll then drive your boat around.

Wee!!!

etc etc

For maps, you bring up the map, plot each navigation point up to your destination, then close the map, drop it on the tillerman. Now you can say 'goto 1', 'goto 3', etc and he will attempt to sail there automatically for you. He does NOT go around things, so if you mess up your plot you will end up having to reset the map and start the tillerman up again to get to your destination.
He goes STRAIGHT to the point you specify, so if there is anything in the way he stops (ie a kraken.)

Hope that helps. You can always get a boat on test and play around with it to see how it works.

Any sea map can be used to plot a ship course. The Navigator's World Map does not do anything special.

that right there is kind of what i had been thinking after reading the comments and doing some research. so basically the spring decor token gives you a 'surveyor's scope' which is a house placement tool, a 'mariner's brass sextant' which is.. a brass sextant. and this 'navigator's world map' which is blue, which is pretty. kinda wish i hadn't spent 200k on the map now, but thank you for telling me :)
