No, but I sure wish they would.
I'm Not Done Yet!!! I hope its not till nov. I have not finished cleaning or the houses, Im such a pack rat that the city trash barrel and I are on first names!
They havent been permanent in the past and I see no reason why they would be now. I've looked though all the announcements and can see no hint at the length of time that they will be running it for.
If it was going to be permanent then I would have imagined that they would have set it up a bit differently (Much like the library collections). Plus I suspect the 'Clean Up Officers' will revert to being unemployed again to be used as something else (Considering they were around for a good couple of months before CUB was activated)

Being permanent would have its pros and cons IMO
Sure it would be nice to continue to get items over time, but then it will be like those collections mentioned that aren't used as often. Granted turning in 80 million boards or whatever can be daunting.
I would just hope that whatever they decide doesn't encourage a delay in future development. The isn't really a future value issue either, as people can still make money off of this if it was permanent. I.E. buying a Bless Deed from someone for (x), instead of paying more (y) through the collection. There will always be people who would rather save time and buy it, instead of collect for it.
It's just a matter of different playstyle, or available play time.

My search for information didn't turn up any definitive information and a thread with the generic title "Spring Cleaning" isn't exactly a tip-off that it's going to answer my specific question about end-date.
From what I now see, we can conclude that UO hasn't announced any end date, so we all need to be patient and wait for their posts.

I'd actually might participate in that, until then, I have to buy from whoever. I tried 'their' way. too time consuming, and boring as crap
Saw someone at the doom guardian lich room camping 24 hours non stop with their automatically program... seems like its the best way to net cleaning points.. lol
it will spawn around 12 guardians everytime with each one containing a treasure map.

All i did was clean out one of my houses. I had soooooo many of those valentine cards and gift boxes and plants.. I have 5 houses to go.
It will be interesting to see what I end up with in points.

I have not even yet been able to start working on Clean Up at all !!!
I have been way too busy in real life these past weeks to be able to even look at Clean Up Britannia.....
I really hope we still have a whole lot of time to get our Clean Up Britannia done with ease and without much conflicting with our real life schedules and obligations.......
After all, I think, this is a game supposed to be for entertainment and not a race to stress me more than my real life might already do.......
So, dear Developers, please let it keep going for a good more while to give to all players plenty of time to be able to get their Clean Up Britannia done without too much conflicting with real life.

Yes you can. Each item is evaluated separately, even if it's inside a container.
I tested it and it seems you can put all the stuff inside a single container and still get credit for all the stuff in them.

When you try to appraise a container with items in it, it will only appraise the container, and not the contents. When you drop the container that has items in it you get points for all. Think that was the confusion part.
Yeah, I probably could have clarified that a bit better. I had to test it myself. No way I wanted to toss everything one item at a time. I had between 300 and 500 each of things like globes, sleighs, reindeer and cards & stuff.

Side note... there is a cap for the spring turn-in point – “10m”
