I know a LOT of players would be extremely pissed if that happened. It took me 3 days to get my house designed the way it is now. I can imagine how some like Sarsmi with the massive custom deco would react if all of it went up in flames.

I highly doubt that would happen on the production shards.

those pieces stored in a house ... could just as easily be focal points like runes

Or "soilless" seed's that grow unattended, animal, mineral or plant?

Or begin to harmonically vibrate, and affect local overland spawn

Or emit a keening sound, heard only by BREs (at great distance)

Those are all things most could deal with. Having to completely redo a house from the ground up, with most having spent days, and in some cases I'm sure, weeks, would be just a tad overboard, even for Draconi.

Pretty much what they did in U5 (unless you got too close, if I remember). Still this is great news! Could they be tied to the faction overhaul (the shadowlords faction, etc...)? If they do it right I might even resubscribe to the game...

It's doing fairly well actually. I'm not sure what you're referring to, you get one free month of playtime and they have short term trial codes.

It's not complete though, they have a lot of content to build on the top end of the skill curve.

But I like it enough to have picked it up for a year, which says a lot.

If I remember right you only have to get the explosion to get blackrock infected. On the chars I did it I always had only one explosion after second or third attempt and then I was infected.
