You can believe me or not that is totally up to you, but I would ask you to not come in here and try to discredit the truth.
People want to BELIEVE prices drop due to dupes, but that is not the case. I'm sure its not an original and highly doubt anyone can say who owns the original. There are 1000's of duped items out there and prices still seem to stay the same now matter what the items is. Take 2-Story statues for example, these are still selling at 500M a pop KNOWING they are duped.
And yet 1 sold yesterday for 500M.
Now we know who dupes.
Who ever wants to sell. I'll buy one for 100M
I think whats going on here isn't finger pointing. It's just calling attention to the sky rocketed amount of these Sphinx in the current market. And if that's not enough of a reason for an items price to fluctuate, I don't know what is...
Personally, I think it's ugly as sin and have no interest in it whether it's duped or not. Best of luck to you in the sale of your items!!

First I've heard of this. I just bought one yesterday for 400mil. I got a pretty good deal I thought. It had been on auction for a week. I'm sure the value will stabilize at about 400mil in the future. It's a pretty cool looking item in my opinion so the demand will be high in the future (like the two-story statues and the colored shrouds for example).
That is deffo a fact...there must be thousands of 2 story and marble table dupes out there yet people ''seem'' to still pay a silly high price

I do. Just purchased it the other day as well. It was not until a while after I made the purchase and went to display it that I noticed it simply said "sphinx" (any time I make a high end purchase I always wait a random time length to display it because my house is public). The other one I know about had the "I tamed this" tag line on it. Don't get me wrong now, I understand how wide spread the dupe problem is on this item.... it was just impossible for me to pass up a chance to own this specific graphic. imho this is the very best graphic I have ever seen in game, we all have our favorites *shrugs*. When or if they ever figure out how to delete the dupes in game I will wave it bye bye and consider the price I paid for it as a "rental fee".
I don't either. No offense to those who own one, but to me they look like blue television snow regurgitated on an deformed cat.
I just want one because they are cool looking and I love cats in real life and a sphinx resembles a cat, at least to me anyways!

the dupers would not dupe if they had no market to dupe for
if people didnt buy cheap dupes the dupers would not have reason to dupe dupes

People are enjoying the game and collecting things they really enjoy.
I honestly have no idea if anything I have is duped or not.
Do I "support" dupers, maybe in your eyes. I enjoy collecting certain themed objects.

Me too. It never even crossed my mind that I might be supporting a duper with my hard earned gold. Of course, the post selling the item was here for a week, no one posted a warning, my bid was publicly posted and I did not pay right away... so there was *plenty* of time for the "community" to pipe in and let me know. As I said, never heard of this before now. Still think item is cool and probably quite rare as I am aware of only 4 or 5 of these confirmed personally. There are probably more, say, 20, but still very rare - heck, until everyone has at least one, it's rare in my book... *chuckle*

I dunno about 20.... seems like someone found a bag of 20, though I guess it may not be confirmed... I dunno. I've heard of more then 5 going for sale very recently and because things aren't sold like that it makes me wonder how many ARE out there. And by that I mean just because there are say 5 in Manti's list (no idea how many are in there) doesnt mean thats how many you should expect to see on the market anytime soon if ever. Not everyone sells items they get. Also I am not calling anyone specifically a duper but even the OP has more then 1 (or had). So how many are there really out there if a non-duper has at least two. Honestly, I dont know why we still have problems with dupes anyway. Seems like this problem shouldve been shut down a long time ago. Still very cool and unique looking item, id say worth 100m a piece.
