Boy you are sheltered. WoD is the only reason people use it?? If that is so, then why are there so many people out there using the Human JOAT for Gift of Renewal and Nature's Furies?

Why did they "adjust" the FC penalty on Essence of Wind (still an AMAZINGLY useful spell in choke point PvP, not to mention it will clear your whole screen of rats with a level 6 in a champ spawn)?

Why do I cast Wildfire to 1) Get rid of the miror images in Travesty, 2) Back off the people rushing my fields in PvP?

Oh, I must be doing something wrong when I use Gift of Life for a self rez and Arcane Empowerment to heal myself/others/pets for 50-75 HP a pop.

I must be insane for using Attunement to get my rear thru those sticky "monster up my ***" situations.

And of course, Thunderstorm does nothing for me in PvP either ... except give SSI penalties ....

Those Nature's Furies didnt kill that mid-way Satyre in Mel for me, either ....

Some free monster ignore that doesnt cost me honor?

You might think that, but when it comes to greifing it usually isn't.

Since the anywhere part has been cleared up, I just wanted to add that even if limited to pentagrams (like if you go to doom now), yes, griefers can do this too. There's no change in this, just be careful that your weaver is not standing in a pentagram while you loot the DF.

So EA punishes single spellweavers and peeps who don't want to or are able to go into prism.

You can't get any mods for the skill and you're skill is punished... geez thx.. is it my birthday or something? Is there a note on my back? Kick me .. I'm a weaver!

Please tell me if one of your group is less than GM level but still within 20 skill points of the caster you are also punished with a -1 level! That would just be the best thing EVER!

The Arcance circle in PoL is sort of like an easter egg, a bonus. They are not punishing anyone for not being able to run the PoL gauntlet.

Instead, they are rewarding players that survive the gauntlet. think of the 25k spring points from Melissa/Casca. If you brave and survive the gauntlet, you get a prize. If you can't survive, you don't get it.

There's no punishment, no taking away anything from you. Not unless you consider that the original SW implementation is correct where single spellweavers can cast a crappy lvl 1 (lasts roughly 1 - 2 hours depedning of caster's skill). The problem with that is that it doesn't tally with the spellweaving description, and someone complained.

It was either change arcane focus or change the description. The devs decided to change the former since that was how SW was envisioned - a group of spellweavers coming together to cast a circle. So this discrepancy was fixed.

WHAT IF??


What if...when you cast arcane circle you get additional stones. They don't add up of course but....


Say I get a Level 6...Then 2 friends want help getting a circle. I say no way because it would ruin my Level 6.

Or perhaps have them not just override etc.

That would help some as well. As far as encouraging people to use this group spell. It has not been, via lore or first intended to be used solo. It's always been a group spell. So stop complaining that you can't get a level 6 alone
