I have not played since release. So I am enjoying a whole new world.

My question is about spellbooks. Are they all player made? How do you aquire a slayer spellbook?

What is the % gain for using one. Are they worth it etc.

All spellbooks with properties are player made except for the undead slayer book you can get from the newbie quest in Haven and players can make that as well. You must buy slayer books from players. As for the % of damage they work just like weapon slayers they double the SDI against the monsters it is aligned to. Only direct damage spells get the bonus IE fireball, energy bolt, ect.

Not exactly true. The Tome of Lost Knoweledge, and the Tome of Enlightenment are 2 spellbooks that are Treasures of Tokuno artifacts. They can not be made by players. The Obsiden Grimoure is a spellbook that can be claimed with an 8th age tolken. It also can not be made by players.

I also believe there is one ot two that can be claimed with lib. turn ins, or one of the turn ins.
