HeeHEEE! All righty, folks, our pyromaniacal overlord has spoken.

Hey, Draconi, any chance of getting dynamite fishing lures as a turn-in reward?

EDIT: Since "molotov ****tails" is apparently a filthy phrase to our forum filter, I changed my plea for destructive goodies.

FURTHER EDIT: Man, Connor, you are never happy about anything!

Turn-in using the community collection news is fantastic. Now I don't have to worry about having "just too little" to hand over since every item I have will count for something, and if I do come up just a little short I'll know just how much to buy from the people eagerly willing to gouge me.

Thanks, Dev team! I knew you guys had it in you.

I'm suprised nobody has thought it might be a community collections style reward system, where each item to be turned in is assigned a point value depending on how hard to get it was.

[/ QUOTE ]Me too, especially since it is one.

[/ QUOTE ]

Interesting......but it would make more sense to have the Cloak of Corruption part of it. Ya know....to reward those that hung onto their BR instead of turning it in to the evil guys before.....and used it to take down the VERY evil guys now....

Good, because that both makes the most sense and is a good use of an underused system.

Ah, thanks for the heads up. Guess it might be a good thing they're not selling well right now, and that I've got a house full of threads....

My outlook on the event just perked back up.

If it is a community collections thing... are we going to have "our own personal points" decay on a regular basis and will the "community" points decay as well?

Using a new community collection for the turn-in is a great idea!!!
Is the collection going to decay over time like the existing collections?
It would be impossible to mantain it, since the items to turn in are no longer available...

I think you might misunderstand or I misunderstand you.

But...

The turn-in isnt for community items like the zoo that decay. Its the community turn in system that you get points and then get to select READING GLASSES OF THE TRADES or something.

You turn in your stuff. Get points. Use your stuff to buy items you get to take home.

At least thats my take on it.

Actually, the prospect of a zoo-style community factor to the turn-in isn't that improbable. After all, with a few exceptions (*cough cough cough Fel Lake Austin cough cough*), Magincia was "saved", yet it's still flat as a pancake. I'd love to be able to turn in a houseload of ruined walls and see part of Magincia rebuilt.

But ONLY, of course, if there's also something in it for me.

I still choose to believe those shadows are just a trap to get people to use up all their blackrock and tear open the parallel Moonglow - once there's none left, THEN the shadowlords will show themselves.

It might not be true, but it's a nice righteous excuse for my cowardice in avoiding facing them

They would not have people wasting time killing berserkers to spawn shadowlords for weeks and then say no you should have not killed them with blackrock the cloaks are worthless. They will be worth X amount of points toward the rewards and most likely a high point value.

Good! Better back a week and everything covered than not.

Already a pain in the ass to make sure I don't miss a Thread off of a wisp as it is because they FORGOT about that small, miniscule, tiny, measly detail like adding in an ITEM GRAPHIC.

This is what draconi said about the cloaks on the europe thread

(In fact, the entire point of them *not* being in the turnin is because they have a future use, along with the threads, and it’d be misleading of us to have everyone turn them in and then in the next publish say "Tada! Here’s what you could’ve had" )

So does that mean the threads aren't for turn in either?

I can see them using a 1/1 system if they use something that is consumable (bless deeds and such). This way it is your choice if you want to store it and benefits everyone if it is consumed.

Agreed, using the community collections system is a good idea... although hopefully slightly tweaked down requirements for it.

I hope it works like the zoo or library instead - you get points for yourself to choose a personal reward, but you also contribute to an addition for the whole shard.
Something like a new blackrock detector, or the reconstruction of Magincia, or building stronger defenses against the Shadowlords, or whatever...

I hope the point values for what we turn in will be set at a point where we're still not turning things in a month from now to get our first reward, making a bazillion trips with packy's in tow.

ARE YOU SERIOUS? Didn't you ever play FF7 and try to get a gold chocobo. Boy, I remember never taking my counter materia off and accidentally having the damn things attack me. It would go something like WAAAAAAAAAAAARK and then come up and peck my eyeballs out, leaving me temporarily vulnerable to the bouncing winter bunnies that seemed to only spawn with the good chocobos. Wow, that was some good memories there, before my UO days :).

I only hope without that stupid requirement to have all the items in main backpack and mark them as quest item, which made already the original collections a pain for me.

The collections never required marming as a quest item.....

The QUEST that used them for the cloak did, but not the collctions themselves.

UPDATED ORIGINAL POST.

I see many people here got it right with speculation.

To bad they didnt take our ideas for rewards. Some great ideas here.

The cloaks should be left as deco and nothing more done with them. All they are is a measure of how much script mining someone has done. Like I said at the start of the event when the BR use came up "Goody an event to reward and further the scripters more."

See less hacks at the LS fletcher quest? Your Welcome.

"All they are is a measure of how much script mining someone has done"

I haven't done a lick of script mining, yet I have over 200 cloaks.

I'd say the cloaks are more a measure of how much time someone has put into the event than anything else.

"See less hacks at the LS fletcher quest? Your Welcome.:

Not sure what you mean by this....

Might be interesting to note that you can still get Berserker's Scythes in Moonglow (got 2) and you can still get cursed artifacts in Moonglow (got 1).
