Special Material?

I saved a bunch of weapons from the invasion of the generals, the ones the general carried with lightning and other high mods. Now when I try to unravel them, they give the message that they are made of special materials and can't be unraveled. What gives? Is this a bug, or if not what special materials? The stats don't show anything special except for the high mods. Seems that if arties can be unraveled, then these weps should too.

Has anyone else tried to unravel/imbue these weapons?

They were never ment to be unraveled. You can't enhance, you can't unravel, and you can't imbue them. They're pretty much worthless.

they are only unravelable. cant imbue. to unravel them select the Unravel arties option and youll get Essence.

Well, my imbuing skill is at 102 right now.

What is the unravel artie option? I don't see that in the gump.

I am trying to unravel them, not imbue them. I have only tried two of them, got a chest full. Guess I will give them all a try and see if there are some that unravel.

Use an unravel bag (buy from the quest guys) - The bag lets you unravel arties and stuff made from/enhanced by special materials.

The invasion stuff hopefully will be good for some essences and maybe relics

Sorry, my bad. All of the "General" weapons unraveled just fine. None of them could be imbued. Funny, I pulled the only item that could not be unraveled out of the bag. I still don't know why it didn't unravel, but I sure wasted all your time reading this. Sorry again.

I even bought a few extras so I had some to trash.
But its possible to imbue invasion armor,right?
Not that it matter anymore with all new colours released.

When I saw the new colors, I went and tossed a couple chests of invasion armor i was saving to imbue. Only thing i kept was a suit of the red plate. I can use the lockdowns for new loot waiting to be unraveled/imbued
