Spam detection?

Has anyone else problems with spam detection since this patch with the ec?
Everytime, I am saying something (after the first time after a log in) I am getting this silly message about spam detection and my speech beeing delayed for around 2 minutes.
No ... I wasnt spamming ... I just tried to talk with other players. I had to use the general chat to participate in that discussion.

I am experiencing the same issue. Every day after logging in,the first thing I do is tend my plants. They had accumulated 8 seeds per plant and it was time to chop them up for clippings. I used my macro "I wish to release this" in an attempt to unlock all 40 plants before I picked them up to place in my backpack. After about the third or fourth attempt, I noticed the delay message in my journal. That's when I realized what the patch had added. A friend stopped by minutes later, and I was unable to converse normally and was forced to use Icq. MInd you, I am not a quick typist, so I cannot understand why I was being squelched. I even reduced my typing rate and was still filtered. Later, I logged in another character and was attempting to discuss an idea for a game in UO and I became so frustrated with the filter that I had to use the 2D client to get my point across. I had plans for this week to make a somewhat lengthy address assigning chunks of the speech to a different 'say' macro, so others don't get impatient having to wait for me to finish my sentence at a considerably slower typing rate. Please fix this issue. I don't want to be forced to use the 2d client, and if it is not changed in the enhanced client, it will be the one thing that will completely ruin UO for me.

I posted about this in the thread about the patch notes but it was quickly over-looked due to the Mysticism discussion. Nobody answered me yesterday . Anyway, it basically goes like this.

You say something in regular talk, guild, or alliance and after the first thing you say; if you try and say something else, "spam detected, speech queued for 0 seconds." But it took much longer than that lol. More like 10 -20 minutes or not at all. I found that this bug doesn't effect party chat though because i was in a party all evening and could chat in there just fine.

I really hope this gets fixed asap, i don't want people to think i am ignoring them lol.

I am having the same problem...and i don't talk a lot! (online)

Just releasing a few chests and securing them again takes forever this way.

Only started today.

I say "I wish to release this"
*moves crate"
I say "I wish to secure this"
*goes to next crate"
I say "I wish to release this"
spam detected speech queued for 0 seconds (ahuh, 1 minute later, I finally get the cursur)
etc.

takes forever just to move 2 crates. And it's not as if I do the releasing and moving that quickly...not at all.

so for engineering:
use new client and release and secure a few crates

well just logged in with my tamer:
unplayable
say all kill a couple of times and then you are spam detected again

say something 3 times in a row which has a couple of the same words and *ploink* you are now a spammer

well i just got used to the new client and quite like it...guess ill have to relearn the old one again unless this is fixed asap.

I can't help with reproduction of this, as I don't play EC. But I've seen an awful lot of folks grumbling about this on global and in guild chat!

Oddly I haven't had this problem with my patched EC client.

I don't have the problem with EC, but my friend Aron has it while talking in guild chat, and my fiance got it while discussing something in party.
*edit* It's stopping my fiance talking in guild chat at all, but she can talk fine in Party

I am extremely upset tonight. I was removing the remainder of my plants tonight, and as you know that when you say "I wish to release this", it generates a cursor to click on the item that you want to release. So, after the fifth time, I am getting delays anywhere from 8 seconds to over a minute. Today, I made certain that I allowed a reasonable amount of time before repeating the command each time. So, now I have the targetting cursor popping up at indeterminable moments. I recall that at some point my backpack was too full to add any more plants, so I dragged some plants into a nearby dresser just temporarily. I figure that at some point in time, the cursor popped up without my noticing and I inadvertantly unsecured my dresser. It wasn't until I returned to my house hours later and saw the empty space where my dresser used to be that I realized what had happened. I had stuff in that dresser that I had busted my hump to earn, and it was all gone because of that goofy code. Please remove the code asap.

I couldn't care less about the loss of a few plants. I had a lot of valuable items in that dresser including a few costumes. I should count myself lucky that I didn't have my soulstones in it, then I'd be really upset.

Its actually not clear, what courses this problem.
While decorating/unlocking/locking many items indeed is some kind of spam, the spam detect shouldnt work on them. So this is 'only' a major glitch of the detection.
The bug activates the detection/delay without actual spamming something. Sad thing about is, that I even cant reproduce it by myself. My usual gameplay consists of a lot switching around: dektop/game (under windos vista), switching among chat channels, switching chars/accounts.

Dude no one likes losing something the worked to get on a glitch. Golds only pixels. Why dont you go and replace them for her.

I still cant use chat/lock unlock commands. I can do two then I get spam message.

Had to close down my garden. Neighbors in game must wonder why I dont respond when spoken to...
