Anyone know if its possible to buy a full soul stone? I lost all mine the last time I quit and could do with a few. Just used up my last 1st year rewards.

If you buy for in-game gold, be certain that you purchase a full soulstone token. A soulstone that has already been claimed from a token will not work for you, as it is bound to the account that claimed it.

You can also purchase legacy tokens (which give soulstones, among other thongs) from uogamecodes.com for $9.99.

Ya, you can buy them from the UO store, or anybody in game who has an unused token... just make sure its for a Soul Stone, not a Soul Stone Fragment. If you buy them from the UO Store I think they are about $10.

Thanks for your replies. I lost 7 soul stones when I let my house fall. Thats 70 bucks! Should have kept the account going.

Oh well. Back to provoke training :(

Correction - you should have kept them in your bank.

You should never store them anywhere but the bank as without the account they are useless.

If your lucky, you might come across some of your old soul stones again. Those soul stones seem to take eons to decay (if they decay at all) sometimes I see them on the ground where a former house was standing. So there's a chance someone may have eventally come across yours and picked it up (if it was not inside of container) or just got it from looting your idoc; you'd be surprised at how many people like to collect worthless junk in this game.

So keep your eyes peeled.

Question.

Since we are talking about returning players to the game, which is good for the game, subscription wise, and since the soulstones are tied to the account that generated them, I would imagine that a GameMaster could possibly (like they do with pets bonded to the tamer) locate where on the shard are soulstones tied to that account used for dsplay as lockdowns in houses.

They could then tell the returning player who has them, perhaps send a Message to that player asking to contact the returning player so that they can discuss getting them back.

It would be something to aid returning players where possible and so strenghten the player base of the game.

Personally, I think it would be time well spent for Game Masters as it would help the game, overall by helping strenghten more the player base.

Also, now soulstones are craftable with Stygian Abyss.

They hold 1 charge only but hey, they are free..........
You can find on Stratics what is needed to make them.

Well

I play on LS. I don't know if there is a way of identifying the ownership of soulstones but it would be great to get them back.

Ill try to page a gm and see, but I suspect that if I hold my breath, I won't be around for too much longer.

It's a good idea, however, I suspect that only the soulstones have an internal link to tell who the owner is, but the player characters/account might not have a link to the soulstones they own...

So it might not be possible to trace backwards for your soulstones.

Try posting on the LS forum and see if any IDOC'ers picked it up.

Popps has also given good advice on the craftable 1 charge soulstones.

1 more, the 1st year vet reward is a soulstone. So you can use that too.

Edit: Scratch that last comment, just realized that you mentioned using up your 1st year rewards.

i wish they let you reclaim them, flush the skills off and use them on another account..
i have 2 full blue stones and about 5 or 6 fragments with charges on them sitting in a box..

maybe one day the devs will wake up and give us the option to unbind them and to rebind them to another account.. i see no reason not to.

You can buy full soul stones at $10 each, so it would be a lose of income to allow other people to use them.

I also wanted to add that you might have played at a time when the soulstone worked once every 24 hours, if so, that rule has changed and now you can use your soulstone as many times as you want within any time period. So owning billions soulstones for your account might not be as necessary these days as it used to be.

Keep in mind that one-shot fragments are now craftable as well. No need to buy a bunch if you don't mind occasional crafting. :)

Logged a note on the GM help page and was told that there was nothing they could do. Not the end of the world, but the loss is more annoying than you would expect.

Really nice to get so much help though.

Many thanks.
