Soooo, about these rock hammers....

Whether I'm after ore or stone, it goes the same. Sit on bug. Aim pickaxe. Get 'can't mine' etc etc message. Aim prospectors tool. Decide whether I want what is in that spot. If I do, get off bug & mine. If not, move along to the next, rinse & repeat.

Still get plain granite, but I least have an option on whether I might get a colour.

My issue is still with the fail rate. It's entirely too damn high as it is with the reward rock hammers.

When you get a rock hammer from ether the return bod bit or buy it from the in game store its just about the same issue...
Too low a return.. for the effort.
I did a mining tool vs the rock hammer on the same mining cave. All the same spots.
I got nearly double the rocks on the mining tool then the hammer and all the ore as well.
Then set the tool for rock... and got the same as with the ore.
This said it all... skip the rock hammer.
As for the mining gloves... +5 adds to the mining. I imbue the ones I have for my miners with lrc 18
