For people who either may be curious, or who have some cloth and want to have an idea of what it would look like as clothes.

Clearly nowhere near comprehensive, but I think a lot of the general color appearances are covered.

Don't get me wrong, very nice of you to post the info, but this looks rather ugly...

Thank you Uvtha,

This does indeed help to make some sense out of the bag of colors I collected.

Thank you much! The difference from cloth to paperdoll is a lot. And the difference from cloth to character is even more, this will be useful.

I have like 100 other colors, but lots of them didn't seem that interesting, so I left them as cloth for another time. I also have a bunch of random pieces I made, but either used up all the cloth, or couldn't figure out which came from where heh.

A general tip to people who have the cloth and are looking to make clothes, I found that tunic and skirt are the best choice. Robes look much less pronounced than the tunic skirt look, kilts and doublets look nice too, but kilts only work with doublets. Items like tunics and surcoats pretty much cover them up. Wizards hats look decent, but it has to be the right colors or it will just end up looking monotone. I haven't tried many hats really, but tricorn seems like it could be a nice choice. Best bet also seems to be original UO style clothes, as lots of the modern stuff has a much different way that color gets applied, and doesn't look very neat at all, cloth ninja gear for example is bad choice, as it comes out very monotone looking.

If anyone else has pics I'd be interested to see what people have come up with. :thumbup1:

I go with the Fancy Shirt, Skirts, and Floppy Hats.. as well as the wabi jobi shoes (whatever they are called).

Actually you miss out on the 2 tones using the paperdoll. They pop much better on you ractual character as they move.

Those pictures would show the fun value.

Out of curiosity, is there a market of this cloth and in such case, on average how much it sells per cut cloth ?

My guess would be that the price will increase with time. Right now everyone and their mother have thousands of this cloth so its probably not worth a lot today.
Give like six months or so and it will probably be worth several times todays value.

I went through all my cloth, made the clothing I thought I might want to wear at some point and then put the rest on a couple vendors for 1-3k per piece. I'm sure I could have pushed it higher for the more vivid colors, but I was happy with how my customers enjoyed the deals.

Yes there is a market
I made 60 million.
Mostly after it ended.

33 pieces at about 1.5 million for the good stuff. Whatever that works out to be.

There are 144 colors and not all of them are wanted.

With that I will by some other HS stuff.

you have to have begging and tailoring on same char to make these right?
i tried trading them from my begger to my tailor i didnt have enough time before they reverted. or is there an easy way for just a begger to make them?

You didn't need a begger. The color change was a result of a "trick" that anyone could be effected by. I collected my cloth on my tailor who has no begging, she was netting like 20+ cloth per turn. Begging only matters for the special "treat" items, like the minis, webs, creepy cakes etc.

I put the GM Begging on my 120 tailor and had a blast. I got over 125 different colors of cloth during the event last year. I'm hoping they have something as entertaining and fun this year. Maybe they will do it again only with nice DARK colors this year.

That would be awesome!

If there is one thing in the game I do look forward to it's Halloween...

i started training tailoring on that char and now i realized that i am elf.
this is why i couldnt get any cloth. humans get 20 skill to cut to cloth by default so can do it without tailoring. whereas i would need at least 20 skill to compete.
with higher tailoring thou perhaps you get more cloth back? i dont know.

Yupper. I started out with my human dude who has begging (cause I hadnt heard about anyone cutting the cloth, so I just tried it for fun, and lo and behold...) but he was getting such a small amount back, and when I switched to my tailor she was getting back like 3x what he was.

So yes, higher tailoring = higher cut cloth back. :D

Figure out what takes the most cloth to make that can be cut up. Can all be worn at same time. Before going butt wild cutting, observe the order it reverts back so can stay ahead of change. I was maxing out on a 120 tailor getting naked with scissors at 38 cloth. Hotkey those scissors

Metal dye tub covers the colored cloth spread.
