So what solo Pvm does everyone do?

A necro mage can easily solo despise spawn for a start, I have done it many times, it will just take longer than a dexer, especially the champ, but still do-able.

Apart, from that, I know you could solo Proxy on a necro mage, it will be a challenge, especially if you don't have self rez or a back-up char (like a stealther, which is highly recommended) to rez yourself, but I have done Proxy and not died before on a necro (not solo mind you, but I know its possible).

Best advice would be to use the rock pillar thing in the middle of his island as a line of sight blocker, then you can do a mage dance round the island casting explode then running round to the other side so when your explode hits him your not in his line of sight, and therefore he cannot tele you to him. With corpse skin be carefull since this instantly hits him he will be able to tele you to him and bash you, likewise strangle (each time strangle does damage to him he has chance to tele you).

Oh and bring an LRC suit with good resists, mana regen and LMC, and a couple of kegs of greater cure pots. If you wanted you could also carry a luck suit on you as well and swap to it right at the end to finish him off with for better loot!

Not sure how long it would take doing it this way, probably quite a while and there are no doubt faster ways to solo Proxy, but yeh... good luck!

If you are going to monster mash, then go big. Solo peerless else solo doom.
Best loot in the game IMO, especially with perfection.

What suit peices would be decent to solo peerless, i currently have Mace & Sheild glases, Fey Leggengs, Stormgrips, cc, jackals collar, Brace of health, Ring of vile, and heart of lion, Primer of arms and Soul Seeker.

Maybe in PvP, but we are talking PvM here... you have to use the best type of char for the job your doing and dexers (of any type) are without doubt the kings of PvM. I'll happily eat my words if I see any differently, but so far after 9 years I have not.

Coming back from World of Warcraft, where you need a group for ANYTHING you do, this "lets see how much stuff we can solo" game is pretty nice. I log on and if I have 45 mins to play I don't have to spend 35 mins looking for a group. Solo is a nice way to play. You're not over powered if the thing you are fighting can drop you in two or three hits and it takes you 30 mins to kill it. Thats just playing smart. I had a Paly/Archer/Spellweaver that i used to Solo Champ spawns with. I'm putting that char back together now because it was so much fun. I wouldn't call it over powered.

You just hit on EXACTLY why i play UO. Im in a rather big guild, but i want to play when i have time - and if i have an hour, i do NOT want to spend 30-45 minutes to get the group going, then when we are finally ready to set out, i have 15 minutes to play then log off and not complete something.

If i want to take a break and take a crap or eat some tuna or eat some food after the tuna, then i can take that break if playing solo.

And additionally, i spent countless hours and insurance money trying to figure out the right template, items and ability/wep combos to use to finally solo the 1 creature. Then i move on to a new challenge. Its not like i get swords up to 90, grab a sword from a shopkeeper, and go hack on the hardest creature in the game and kill it in 20 seconds.

It took weeks to figure out, and even after figuring it out, it still takes an hour for 1 full quest, and 15 minutes for the final fight. And you still have to stay focused and stick to your strategy, or your dead.

The ability to go out and have fun attempting to kill high end creaturs by myself is why i play UO and have not moved onto other games focused around a 'party'. I just do not have time to devote a set 2 hours. Maybe if they removed porn from the internet i could play 2 hours straight!

Sampires are for noobs, huh? Ok, make a character, scroll the skills up, get the necro items, get a good suit and some weapons, and go solo some peerless if its so easy that a noob could do it.

You missed the point, its not about what your killing, its the fact you need extra life leech, mana regen, insta cure low poison, etc etc... to do it that makes it more noob than a normal dexer. Try going and soloing a peerless on a normal dexer without easy mode (aka vamp form) on and tell me that any noob could do it.

Really all that needs to be done to fix this is make vamp form's bonuses scale from spirit speak (like wraith form), ie at 0 SS skill, you get 0 bonus from vamp end of story, problem solved. You want to be a vampire dexer? You still can be, you just have to invest some skill points in it.

Doesnt paroxy have that summon attack? Would own anyone standing out of melee. And in melee, you need the leeching to keep alive

If it cant kill me its not fun. thats why i dont use sampires, nothin against them, just looks to easy. I like that runnin up to a para dragon and hittin him once, then he hits me and its like oh dam! know what i mean?

I was the 2nd person on the GL shard to solo DH. I went through so many templates and so much insurance, but it was well worth the reward to finally be able to do it

I have not solod him in about a year now - but i made about a quarter of a billion gold the 2 months i did solo him in the beginning. Ingredients and crimsons used to sell for A LOT more than they do now, and each solo it was all mine

I have tweaked my template since, and i would have to say the following template would be best served to solo the DH rather easily:

120 sword
120 bushido
110 parry
110 tactic
80 SS
80 Anatomy
65 chiv
35 necro

- Get 45% HCI, 45% DCI and 100% DI
- Get in Vamp form
- Ride a Swamp Dragon with Exceptional Barding deed on him
- Carry a trapped box to break paralysis
- Use protection spell so your cursed wep never fizzles

* try to get all 70's suit of course, but most important is physical and poison resist. Also make sure to use Mace n Shield glasses because when the HLD goes off, with 120 sword and 45% HCI, you will have 100% chance to hit for 8 seconds.

Objective:

Honor Dreadhorn. That is the most important thing. Make sure you have enemy of 1 up all the time. Use bushido evade when you can. Make sure you always have Cursed Weopon up.

You will see how simple it is to drop DH with this template. You basically leech a guaranteed 70% of your damage back to you each hit (bout 35 hit points back to you every 1.25 seconds) and when using soul seeker and HLL goes off, you are leaching 100% of your damage back (about 50 HP each hit). You are next to impossible to kill and this is a VERY easy fight with the above strategy.

By the way, this was not originally my template and strategy for killing him, but this new one is much easier. Virtually impossible to die - a monkey would have a tough time getting killed by DH using above.

What type of gear are you wearing to give you 45 DCI/HCI and 100 DI with a soulseeker?

Also what's up with the spirit Speak on the template? This is used to help heal? And I'm capped at 700 so what how do you suggest I alter the template?

I tried last night even though the template wasn't quite done but I just wanted to test it out a bit. I could clearly tell that with DI under 50 I wasn't able to leech enough to stay alive.

How long does it take to drop the DH with this tempalte? 10 Mins 15 Mins 20 Mins?
