So what is going to be the best template for working Shame now

I have had a few ideas but wanted to hear from everyone else. What templates will folks be using to work Shame? Solo and group. Fel and Tram. As for solo I will be rocking the mystic mage stealher with a luck suit(fel) and sampire(tram). For the small group I run with probably the disco mystic or disco tamer with rune beetle and mare combo. What about everyone else? Anyone gonna worry about putting luck on a sampire suit?

A mystic nox ninja archer is by far the best template for when you only have a hammer every problem looks like a nail.

Mystic is definately key. Maybe a bard or tamer so you can rock the luck suit I would guess. Maybe have a protector like you would for spawns.

Ive been looking to work out a template that can wear a 70s luck suit(1910 luck) with no major buffs. Maybe 1 mod per piece not skill bonus and nothing else.

I have all my chars drawn so far over this line I am currently stumped...

My brother and I concocted the suit and its 70/70/70/64/70 100 lrc 1910 luck 15 dci +tali.

The only thoughts that come to mind is a tamer(?)!

i made a sampire with a luck suit and 4/6 casting. played with it in shame on test. The best part of it is, for the "reverse life leech" creatures, i can take vamp form off and just heal with 4/6 chiv. Credit a guildy for that setup.

I could have more luck, but think i ended up with 1060 luck. I think i could of had about 1400, but it was getting pretty detrimental to equipment/mods at that point) Add 1000 from honor/perfection and i think like 700 from vet statue and ill be running 2760 luck on a sampire!


Took down everything i tried to take down, the evil mages took a while, but feint/chiv heals took care of them. the only places that sucked were the areas with tons of diseased blood eles and wind elementals. single them off and it was ok though.


To the guy who mentioned the protector - i did this as well. I left my disco/stealther protector on lvl 5, and was luring blood eles and stuff off, discoing them, and smacking their faces off. (i'll probably take detect or tracking off of him for camping and herding, and just leave him down there, LOL)


But who am I kidding - i'm going to be in fel shame on my red most of the time (should of made my sampire on my other acct gdmnt!)

I guess I need to stock up on chaga mushrooms, spined leather, gold ore, and oak boards.

I think the max luck I can achieve without reworking my template is:
Armor of Fortune - 200
Spine Leather Imbued Hands, Arms, Neck - 140 ea
Imbued Jewels - 100 ea (if I can enhance jewelry with gold - 140)
Oak Imbued Bow - 140
UO Statue - 600
Conjurer's Garb - 140
Total - 1700

Not bad. I give up LRC on the armor, 28 ninjitsu (pretty useless in PvM any way), and HLD on the bow.
I would need to carry arcane thigh boots/bag of regs to make up for the loss of 34% LRC. Arcane clothing is attractive because it won't be looted.

I did the mystic/mage...
Seen a few tamers on test , but none on Origin yet.
Must be time i play.

I have noticed you need to be carefull what template your playing..
The mobs now switch targets very fast..
Just standing there as a tamer or caster will get you nailed..
So not a place to go afk..

I have seen a few dead GD on test by the gaser..
But i did find RC great for the mobs...

Been resing samps alot..so maybe that says something about that class ..
And no i havent died yet..on my mystic there..
And i still goto test for different set ups..

i had my disco tamer in there.
worked good.

i took in my bard.
worked good, except for the EV problem.

took in a disco archer.
worked good.

took in a bushy macer, worked good.

so far everything is working good.
i dont think id toe to toe level 5 with a melee guy unless i was a sampire though

Protector as in someone on a pvp build to deal with that threat. It seems that pvp builds and pvm builds have drifted so far apart that having two maybe the best means of running in fel. I haven't heard anything that would indicate that you can use justice in there I meant protector as a tactical term.

My "protector" i use for double scroll drop, also has stealth, disco, ninja, magery, tracking, detect, etc etc.

I just call it "my protector" because thats basically what he is when it comes to spawning. I could call him a scout or something i guess. Guess he needs a new name for shame, because he won't actually protecto anything lol

I am not sure about the others, but I took a Sampire to test and took out the Eternal Gazers pretty easily.

The unbound energy vortex reveals anyone hidden and teleports the player to it. I found this out the hard way on my stealth mystic. I think it's the crazed mage that has some mana corruption AI where it uses up the player's mana. The diseased blood elemental is not bad but I don't like to fight too many at once.

I am sorry I said protector that was a bad word choice on my part. I have found that teams work well in fel because general the best pvm temps and the pvp temps seem mutually exclusive. Some might say this will bring back the pve temps but I strongly doubt it.

Huh? Was simply saying sampire will always be the PvM template until something is done about it. And no, vamp form proof monsters don't count.

I'm a tamer so i'll use my tamer. Mystic-tamer, because of cleansing winds (great way to heal the pet in combination with bandages). The template-of-the-day stuff just seems crazy to me.

From the experiments i did in TC1 the biggest problem will be to avoid gangs of mobs. 1v1 they look all killable. The weird thing it that because of the very high resistances they have the RC is waaay more effective than pets (because of armor ignore).

Honestly, I will farm myself in the shame dungeon felucca and I needed the best pvm template to fight. But I think it seems quite tough to deal enough damage, have enough defense and have super high luck at same time...

I am already so well known in my shard that people see my name will immediately turn around, so i don't need to pvp at all.

For the record, a Wraith Thrower out damages and is better than a sampire in a lot of cases- the only negative is that they can't tank. Then again, when you are AI'ing for 200+, it's not like you need to tank much.

I have no idea on what shame has been revamped...

Anyways, wraith thrower to me seems workable in Trammel but not Felucca, because the speed of travel probably too slow..

Also, is sampire really necessary in this dungeon? Like do we have to kill monsters here same as we kill in a champ spawns? (whirlwind)?

Also, the reverse life leech type of monsters, what are their specials besides this? I can still be using sampire form killing these in some case, so if a sampire can work out all the above, its still the best to use there.

Perhaps a healing sampire would work. But then resisting couldnt be fit inside the template unless I take out that 300 skill points requirement for lowest mana special moves.
