So i find the slimes.
I cant target them. They run off. A pain in the butt.

Is there an easy way to target them?

Then I dye stuff. I dont event need dyed. Then I realize I have most of these dyes.

What am I missing?

What can be dyed with these slimes that regularly TOK dyes dont dye?
Why am I dying stuff?
What are the rare colors? The all look the same.

There is one that changes color. Is that special?

I usually what for a dragon to tie them up and I dye off the dragons work.

Is there something I am missing.

Wow, lot of nonsensical questions, but lemme see if i can help.
1.Easiest ive found is to pull the bar, attack it, go out of attack mode, dbl click it then run after it and when close, paint your item. Little hard to do but not impossible.
2. All the what can i dye questions are the same so heres the answer....dye things that cannot be dyed or you dont have dye for, like i did my virtue armor set, couple of trav masks, HH, jackals, etc. What color? The color of the slime! Color changes after i attack it a few times, so it seems. They all chancge color after a bit, but i think the ones you refer to are named (dark blue) (light olive) etc. Yeah, special, as cant get them otherwise, but if its a horrendous color you dont like, who cares! The olive to me is yuck, so Im not chasing it!
Is there something your missing? I dunno, just dye stuff is all it is!!
As for your mummbling dragon comment / question, sorry but I cannot / do not understand a bit of it.
Happy huntin.

first you use dagger to target the item you want, then you pull bar, double click when near it and hit last target

What drinkbeerallday suggests definitely makes it 10 times easier.

Once the buggers run off, you're "too far away" to use them, even if you've already got the dye cursor.

Light Olive is either Verite or so close to Verite it makes little difference, same hue as oilcloths. I dyed my whole suit with it, excluding my quiver and kilt which I've kept shadowdancer black for contrast. I liiike. The only part of the suit I'll want to swap out for better at some point is the sleeves, which I'll enhance with Verite anyway.

I've also done a number of oak pentagrams in dark blue and one of those greyish hues, which makes nice carpet for two of my rooms. I might have to do my entire castle this way.

You can use a dagger or scissors or whatever to get your item on your last target macro. Don't accidentally cut it up or chop it though. ;) I was using UOA to get them on last object as well, you can pull up their health bar and as long as it isn't greyed out you can double click it with the UOA macro recording, and stop the macro when you've done that and bind it to a key. When you want to swap slimes drag a new life bar and right click your macro line "use item" and then change the item type to the new slime, easy peasy.

Items you can dye are artifacts, any item enhanced with special wood, leather or metal, anything created with special wood, leather, or metal, and any "green" tagged clothing you have. If you want to dye something like an oak made abbatoir you need to have *never* placed the abbatoir before, it will only work on fresh, unused deeded items.

Some things people might want to consider dying so they fit in with decor better: forges and anvils, looms and spinning wheels, pentagrams, abbatoirs, or arcane circles (that last one especially), also statues, elven loveseats, hardwood and ornate tables - pretty much any type of furniture that is created as a deeded item.

The slime colors are tot II dyes plus "special hues" which so far are dark blue and light olive. The light olive is similar to ash wood hue but is a greener green, however there is no wood hue even close to the dark blue. Also there are a couple of agapite type colors I have seen so far as well as varying shades of grey and grey-blue and beige and bronze, so really it's great for a lot of colors where there is no near match in the special woods.

I've confirmed that the Hearth of the Home Fire can be dyed, but if you re-deed one it will revert to its original colors.

Apparently, all these deeds can be dyed with ToT dyes as well, as evidenced by the sudden riding of blaze swampies all around. I am not looking forward to seeing ice white & blaze houses all over.

By the way, Sarsmi, I love your floor design! You've got quite the imagination!

I have my scroll wheel in KR set to scroll through aggro's, so I scroll till I get the slime I want, then use KR's target to snag the dye.

Now, if only I could figure out how not to get poisoned :p

The dark blue slime color is nice, though I'm a fan of dark blue.
