So the Sim money is getting renamed! What do we call our little sim people?

To me they will always be sims but the official EA name is Avatars.

Avatars :p They've already named all sim related things to Avatar

they want us to be called avatars, but all I can say is that whatever EA want to call my sim, it will always be a sim to me and the money will always be simoleans.

There is nothing in the game to stop us using those terms , so if you are a sim with simoleans then call yourself a sim with simoleans

Sim and proud of it!!

Yeah the money will alway be simoleans to me too. I don't know why EA is wanting to chance a great game! In understand the merge and all but why rename EVERYTHING?

Maybe time to drop the Avatar discussion already, in all online games and on all discussion boards "the representation of yourself" is called avatar, toon, character or whatever. Can't understand why that causes such an uproar in the whole community. It's just a representation of you in the game.

I know for me, it's just a matter of what I'm used to, and what sets this game apart from other games.

When I first started playing sims, before Sims Online was around (or before I knew about TSO anyway), characters were called "sims" and well ... that's just got a place in my psyche.

I don't think there's anything wrong with not being like all other games. Just like EA Land will always be TSO to me, my sim will never be an avatar to me -- no matter what everyone else calls their little toons, avatars, characters or whatever.

I AM SIM, HEAR ME ROAR!
