Are housing timers down or not? I'm an idocaholic and I haven't found a single idoc in the past 3 days on 2 different servers. I always find idocs, but now nothing... The stuff i've read so far isn't clear to me. If it is down I'd love to know so I can stop looking for the time being.

If memory serves, houses fall due to inactive accounts and right now account activity is in a major kind of flux due to the new system.

However, I can't really tell you "yeah it's safe to stop looking." Because none of us really knows what happens next.

Seen a few IDOCs, and found some awesome loot and a super nice spot. A spot I been wanting for years! I just hope those were just from inactive accounts and not people that can't log in.

So I'm assuming that housing is in *limbo* at the present time and no houses will fall that shouldn't.

I think the only accounts that it would be relatively safe to assume have been put into limbo are ones that were supposed to run out of time after the account migration process started on August 5th. I wouldn't assume at all that a house on an account that ran out of time on or before August 5th is "safe" for now. It most likely is still on a timer and should fall more or less on schedule.

I do not think the houses are going into decay since the account migration started. I dunno for sure but it looks that way. I know they would probably lose money if they made people pay every month but I really think there are alot of prime spots taken by those who only log on every 3 months to keep a house or castle and never play.I wish they made it so you need to pay every month to hold on to your spot.

If you see any that are, it's most likely from placing a new house, not from the account not being paid for x amount of time.

^ same here. As of Saturday night they were falling w/o a doubt. I have several chests of +25 scrolls, marties, rares etc from a castle that night but it had been there for 7 years that I know of so it may have been inactive. As for atm, I haven't even seen one slightly though so maybe all the inactives fell Satand early Sunday morning I'm not sure but haven't seen any since then that were in decay.

good chance that an empty plot >could have been caused by< an upset with some migration issue player ...
logging in and dropping the house ... ever hear of the condition: Rage quit?

Premise assumption mix:
inactive accounts and not people that can't log in.
Accounts MANAGEMENT is in general chaos ... Everyone that had a valid account CAN still log in GAME.
(at one point: ANYONE with >REMEMBERED account< invalid or not ... could log in)
likely that the revert cleared a large percent of That Mess


I think I remember a house being there, well for a long time I think so, plot is open now ... but nothing is on the ground
maybe that old account finally placed somewhere else and I missed the move, all is well in Sosaria.

Given that it hasn't been 90 days since this whole migration thing started, those were probably inactive long before EA announced the migration thing back on August 3rd or 4th. Technically they would have been inactive for at least two months, and I doubt most of us really care about people who are playing the 90 day game and keeping houses while only paying for a fraction of the time.

That's true as well.

If EA were to actually and finally decay the houses tied to inactive accounts, the amount of IDOCs would be enormous.

The only decaying houses I saw were owned by people I've seen in game in the last 2 months or had people in them moving stuff. In other words people who placed or were traded a new house. A house like the castle falling last Saturday probably started its decay before they activated Return to Brit and put the measures into place.

So when should houses start falling again? Do i wait 90 days to start hunting again or was it just delayed for a few days and houses could be indecay now?

Houses that were in decay before the migration should have started again - there are apparently people who were playing the 3 month game and lost as well.

Probably just have to wait for this train wreck of a migration to be done... now how long that will be is anyone's guess.
