So newbie dark knight quest is broken eh...

When you recall and target the "darkness" rune it says the location is blocked you cannot get there. And the rune turns gray and can never be used again... intended.

I'm forgetting, the dark knight was introduced with KR, right? And the way it worked was you had to use KR to get the rune/quest, but then you could recall in 2D once you had the rune?

Eh, IIRC, you need to use the KR or EC client to recall to the DK room. Can't do it using CC.

The quest is half broken anyway, Whenever I create a new character in EC I get teleported to the docks.. Click X on the quest as I don't want it.. The quest cancels but leaves me stuck in the dock area...

You have to log out, log into CC, which then springs you to New Haven, then switch back to the EC..

All I remember is you couldn't transfer the rune ... from UO Guide:

Failing to an attempt to Recall using the special rune, or failing to beat the Knight on your first attempt, frequently makes the rune unusable. There is no fix for this; as only one rune can be acquired per character, the only way around it is to create a new one using the KR client and start from scratch.

I remember failing to use sacred journey on one of the runes, that sucked.

Hey, not to deviate, but while we're on the subject of Haven, what's up with all the corpses on top of the necromancy building? I never knew why they were there. Was that a result of Dark Knight challenger deaths or something?

I used EC updated to the latest publish... And I was able to do it a few months ago... Now it says the rune is blocked off...

Have anyone able to face the dark knight recently?

Edit: To be more precise
I have 115 magery, I tried to recall via spell AND scroll both returned "Something is blocking the location." Does NOT consume the scroll. And the rune turns gray. (I can only do 1 recall once every 3 days thats when the rune resets and goes back to original color and allow you to recall again.). And after the rune turns gray and I try to recall again it says " I cannot recall from that object rightnow".

The quest IS broken I am almost 100% sure... woohoo another 1st

Didn't they paste Corgul's island directly over the dark knight arena on the map? That could probably explain it.

It's bad the DEV dont even care about their newbie quest anymore.
