SO I spent 900k on a bookshelf token and...

Why did I pay 900k for this?

Its empty. Is there something I can do with it? Can I fill it or something?

If you buy a turkey for thanksgiving it's usually empty. So, grab the turkey stuffings, shove your hand up it's ass and vôila, it doesn't look empty anymore.

Simply put: shove items up the bookshelve's ass.

Seen those sort of prices on Europa for the 'Academic Bookcase' - craftable that works the same way as the token bookcase, but needs a stupidly rare ingredient to make.

Ok, just to follow up here. I got a turkey and shoved one of my old college books in it (a good use for an old lithography book, btw), and it certainly doesn't look empty. So the analogy is a pretty sound one.

However, the turkey doesn't look very happy either. But I suppose if the bookshelf gives the same bloodcurdling shreak as the turkey did when I put the book into it, I'd probably pay 900K for it too.

Don't put anything into it. Page a GM and lets see how much they really know. I think someone needs to write a really long post on how the mechanics of the bookcase should be changed. So it is not as confusing to those who buy the bookcase. Then we can all argue the point.
