[Bowcraft/Fletching] So I need to make some slayers...

Elemental for Shame in particular, at least at this moment.

After going thru stuff I've unpacked since my return, I find 1 heartwood and 3 oak runic fletch kits, 540 pieces of frostwood, 1200 of heartwood, 1300 of bloodwood, and tons of the other woods. I have 100 in fletching, 100 in arms lore, and 100.3 in imbuing.

So for you guys who know much more than I ever knew, how would you go about it? Treat me like a child when you explain this, my wife sez thats what she has to do at times, muhah.

Maybe I should say that what I'm looking for is, what type bow would you use to create, would you create with any of the lower woods and then enhance using a runic (which wood and runic would you use), or would you go straight to a particular wood and use a runic on it?

Its been years and years since I've done this, last time I was around for more than a week to look around and see how things were going, the Abyss was getting ready to release, and Imbuing wasn't around yet, give ya an idea how long I've been gone.

edit, I'm still reading and trying to figure this out noticed I should have supplied more info. I'm going to Shame, this is a PVM bow as all mine are. Gear is ok, not great, barely ok. I hunt solo. Archery and anat are 110, healing tactics, bushido, hiding and chiv are 100.

The best way to make a PvM bow:

1. Craft about 100 exceptional Composite Bows (normal wood, normal tool)
2. Reforge them with an ash runic tools (of vampire suffix, 3 charges per try)
3. If you are lucky you get one with 20 HSL + 70 HML (50 HML displayed) else repeat 1-2 or take some 70 HML bow with less useful second mod
4. Increase its durability to 255 using POF
5. Decrease DI and HSL to 1 to (just imbue 1 DI and 1 HSL on a bow that already has this mods)
6. Imbue Slayer, SSI, HSL, DI (since the bow has overcapped 70 HML it still has 50 HML after imbuing SSI)
7. Use Metal Forge of Artifacts to enhance the bow (usually you want 10 ssi or 5 hci and 10 di) (if you enhance 10 ssi then hml drops to 48)

Probably you want a Yumi (Double Short). Usually it is more effective against elementals (except UEV). In this case you probably don't need SSI and may take a bow with a less useful second mod (at step 3. above)


A cheap way to make a PvM bow:
1. Craft an exceptional Composite Bow
2. Increase its durability to 255 using POF
3. Imbue Slayer, SSI, HSL, HML, DI (you can have up to 37 HML on a 30 SSI composite bow)
