ok you know how stores always hiding and having there 10 or 23 ppl there and they sometimes hide the stairs or sets the door permissions so you cant get in and find them.....

well i was thinking that ea can make it to where ppl that have the same account or pays witht he same credit card/debitcard/time card wont get credit for more then 2 of there sim ...so that way its ONLY the guests.

but then theres the issue of ppl can just use a different credit card....right.
well how about they set it up to where they detect it by your name and put the name with the 2 creditcards you have put on per account.

for an example, say joe paid his account with a visa credit card and then used his other credit card for another one ect... then ea would connect both of the name with each credit card (ect..) and thats how they know NOT to count those towards the house hrs or guests hours or whatever you call it lol

what do you think : )

But that doesn't solve the problem if they are renting sims to stay on their lots.

I wish you could just seek any item from where you are standing - locked doors or not. Hide is no fun without seek!

That's when sims are paid to stay on the lot. Hence they are renting the sims.

For example say I have a house and I need to up my visitor hours. I would approach you and ask if I can borrow your sim for the day at the rate of 2k simoleans. So I give you 2k and you would just be AFK on my lot.

The front door to my store was locked, but I changed it to a pay door to cover living costs if people insisted on coming in the house. There is no reason to come in anyway...you can see anything and shop from outside the actual house as long as you are on the property. And as I've said before, hiding isn't the problem because eventually you time out when you hide. The problem is overriding the system so that you don't time out. I wish people would stop confusing the two. They are two different things.

You mentioned hiding in your original post, though, which is why I brought it up...

I sincerely hope you just hit reply and weren't directing that towards me because I wasn't complaining. I'm only running a temp store to get rid of my stuff and make enough money to finish my house and call the repairman. I personally don't have a problem with store owners/roomies hiding. Honestly, it beats greening all the time. And since running a store isn't the most exciting thing to do, hiding is really the only option if you want to keep the store open. Also, with the way the top 100 list is set up, how else are you gonna make it on the list? I'd love to make it on the list just to sell what little I have and change categories, but it isn't gonna happen since I don't have any roomies or people hanging out at my store.

I dont think its a good idea since if i have a sim on one of the accounts that owns a store, and another sim on the other account which is currently building, lets say, a service lot, i would want to furnish all my service lot from the store of my other account ... and by this, it wont be possible.

They have a valid complaint!!! I have a store as well and if your not on that 100 list you are not going to sell a thing. I got back on that list a couple of days ago by teaching all day on my property and I have made several thousand in sales as opposed to sitting all day long to only have 2 avatars land on my lot. It is hardly a boo hoo case and like TKSpeedy stated, you can't just hide a sim because they will timeout!!! I truly believe that the lots with a big number of hiding visitors are breaking the ToS rules by circumventing the time-out feature.

It's a very valid point. People are cheating. It's that plain and simple.

Unless we speak out against it, it may not be changed. It's not boo hooing to expect the people in charge of an online game to prevent cheating, very obvious cheating at that. All our actions have a consequence on everyone else paying and playing the game. If it's not an even playing field the desire to play on it will lessen for many people.

This is a valid problem - of course - but that's not the right way to solve it.

If a person pays for their sims, there can be no restrictions about where those sims are allowed to be. It's the same as saying that if you have 5 accounts, you can't make jam with all of them at the same time, since it's unfair to those who only pay for 1.
Like it or not these are their sims, and they can do what they want with them.

In my opinion a better solution is to remove the possibility to override the timeout function. Also change the hide function so it doesn't stop motive decay completely, only slows it down for about 5 minutes at a time, and then you have to manually re-hide.

Agreed

I really think that since ToS has not been updated as far as people over riding the timeout feature, the easiest way to solve this problem is for one of the EA staff to go in and enforce their penalties for the simple fact that even though they don't look down of this problem it is hindering the HARD WORKING HONEST AVATARS that are playing this game FAIRLY
and can't get on this list because they can't compete with the ones who don't follow the rules!!!!!! I think rules and policies should really be enforced until they are officially changed!!!!!!!
