So, fellow roleplayers, let's brainstorm for a shared RP explanation for the script house burnings

My proposed RP explanation: The Mayor of Luna, as we all know from the creepy quests he gives out, is a corrupt scumbag. He was in on the local mob rackets (involving forgery, theft, and the use of slave labor to produce barbed kits, armor, artifacts, and gold). However, they were greedy, and "fell behind" in their protection payments. This is the result.

Alternative explanation (more benign): Fed up with criminal activity in their community, the citizens of Luna rose up and burned down the offending houses. (Kinda like how periodically, people IRL will all get together and burn down the neighborhood crack house.) Luna's corrupt Mayor will be sleeping very, very lightly for the next few years I suspect.

The gods grew furious with those whose greed had overcame them, and laid ruin upon them.

On Legends, by the time it happenned, there was already a crowd with torches and pitchforks gathered. Combined with the effigy, the only unanswered question is who the culprit was betraying the kingdom to in return for his hoards of resources. Being Luna, I would imagine it must presumably be something deamonic.

One of the new Uber-Dragons escaped Test Shard and flew over Luna. A young Paladin hoping for fame and glory, climbs to the roof of a nearby building. He lets loose an arrow at the monstrous beast, incurring it's wrath. The Dragon turns, and in one breath, incinerates the reckless young Paladin.

The dry timbers of the house spread the flames quickly and in a short time nothing but charred rubble remains.

The miners had obviously gathered too much small shards of blackrock and kept it in a concentrated place. The unstable forces shuddered and blew up large concentrations of blackrock, resulting in the destruction of buildings where noxious fumes of the blackrock had been building up for months.

This would be the logically explanation.

Think it was an act of the gods in retribution for the same ugly greed that Magincia had....... they got what they deserved.

Their towers grew so high that they poked the sky,
And a hole was formed in the fabric of space,
Through which reigned a deathly fire,
And now ruin is left in their former place.

*shrugs* Could be?
