[Imbuing] Slayer's Hit Area Effect Damage question...

I was going to make a repeater w/Repond, ssi30, Area Effect(prob Phys) 50, 45 DI and rest in HLL to use on the mobs of Bane that spawn at event. Before I blow relic frags, ess of control, and PoF on another bow, can someone please confirm that Area Effect damage on this slayer weapon would be increased when targeting a goup of Bane?
